Location was good and central for touring Dorset & English riviera. Room was clean and tidy, although bed was 'springy'. Food at adjoining pub was good and filling, although it would have been nice to have some lighter meals on the menu. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The only complaint I had, was our shower which lost pressure... More

Went for dinner. My wife's chicken was dry and tough. My beef pie was mediocre. Oven type chips and unimaginative vegetables. Poor food was surpassed by the £6.25 for medium sized glass of wine. The waitress was polite and efficient. We live locally and won't be back

Good location just minutes from the coast also handy for Exeter. The food was of a good Inn standard especially the English breakfast.Staff friendly & helpful. Good size bedrooms with comfortable beds? The downside was poor house keeping, the whole place needed a through clean

Arriving at the inn on a cold April afternoon we were warmly welcomed and given the key for room 2 which was a spacious family room furnished with a very soft double bed and sofa bed, desk (but no chair) and two bedside tables. The linen was good both in the room and shower. Fiercely hot radiators soon warmed up... More

Stayed here on business, rooms are clean warm and very comfortable, although its on a busy roundabout the rooms are at the back so they are really quiet. the pub is uber comfortable with big squashy armchairs and plenty of space between tables. The food is mediocre pub food, and the menu is disappointing, unless you like that sort of... More

We have stayed here many times and it is always great and such a good spot for Exmouth and Topsham. If you don't fancy driving there is a bus right outside that goes to Exmouth, Topsham and Exeter The staff are really welcoming. You can even order a cooked breakfast for about a fiver.

We stopped by for lunch after visiting Darts Farm (which was far to noisy and crowded). The food was very good. I had the Tuna on rice with prawns and my husband had half a chicken. Our waiter Ian was very helpful and made the visit to the restaurant a very pleasant experience.

We booked as a family with elderly parents and one grandson with nut allergy. They took our booking, sorted out an area for us with wheelchair access, in a quiet area as one person rather deaf, and there was no problem with the nut free meal. The waiting staff were attentive and helpful. All seemed well until the meal actually... More

Went here for a meal last night. The food was very good but the service very poor. We had to ask for a menu after having being seated for quite sometime. The glasses of wine were rather expensive. When I ordered an coffee, I had to go back and ask where it was - the barman admitted he had forgotten... More
