Doolin is a fantastic place to be at, even in the coldest of winters in Ireland. This great B&B is in the picturesque village of Doolin, not far from the Cliffs of Moher. By car, it should take you some 10 minutes from the Cliffs' Visitors Centre to Churchfield. Maeve is wonderful, she was really helpful and kind. The rooms... More

Maeve, Maeve, Maeve! The hospiltality given by Maeve at her little B&B cannot be outdone. My seven friends and I recently traveled throughout Ireland. Since Doolin, Co. Clare is one of my favorite spots on earth, in addition to McGann's Pub, we were looking for a place on short-term notice that could accomadate all eight of us. It was off-season,... More

If your staying in Doolin a night or two Churchfields is wonderful. I came back again and stayed at Maeve's self catering house in Doolin on the hill behind Gus O'Conners pub. It was simply wonderful and the view is the best in Doolin. It is for weekly rental only Sat to Sat. If your looking to save some money... More

My cousin and I spent one night here. It was very nice with the exception of the window to the world in the bathroom. Maeve served a nice breakfast. We were able to walk to a pub for a nice dinner. The road was narrow and made our walk after dark a bit unnerving. All it all it was a... More

We just returned from a week's stay in Doolin, Ireland at this charming B&B. Maeve Fitzgerald who is the owner cannot do enough. We were ever so greatful that she cooked us an Irish breakfast after a long overnight flight from the states. There was none of this"your room is not ready until 3pm check in". After breakfst she insisted... More

My cousin and I stayed at Churchfield one night, and it was fine, but nothing extraordinary. The shower stall was small, which is not that unusual in the B&Bs we experienced in Ireland, and the toilet was located directly under a skylight. The roof sloped fairly steeply in this part of the bathroom, so you have to watch your head... More

Perfect. Just what we hoped it would be. The place is lovely, the location is convenient, the rooms are spacious and comfy, and Maeve knows everything you need to know. She's the ideal host--so gracious and fun. And she makes a killer breakfast. Hey Maeve! Charles is still taking about the pancakes More

We have been to Ireland several times since 2000 - and have stayed in probably 15 different B&B's in that time. Churchfield is, by far, the best. If you want location, you can't top Doolin; and Churchfield is 'right there'. If you want comfort, trust me, you won't want to get out of the beautifully made, comfortable beds or the... More

We only booked one night in advance but ended up staying 3. Meave was wonderful and breakfasts were delicious. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We were able to walk just about anywhere and Meave was very helpful connecting us with a lovely guide for The Burren named Mary - we had her all to ourselves! She personally drove... More
