We enjoyed our stay at Virginia House; my husband and I were there with two friends who were visiting family in Fermoy. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding - try the brown bread! I was able to access the internet from the back patio, which also gave me time to visit with the proprietor,... More

My Father in Law (90 years old) and I visited between 4th - 8th May. The virginia House is a large mid terrace unspoiled period building packed full of charm. It is situated in the heart of Fermoy but enjoys hassle free parking. The warmth of Leo and Mary is only surpassed by the depth of their local knowledge. Ask... More

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Mary and Leo made us feel very welcome at their home. We were told the history of the house, which was quite interesting. The breakfast was great, and they were very flexible with the menu. The restaurants and pubs were just a quick walk away. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable.... More

Wonderful accomodation for those seeking a relaxing time by the river Blackwater. We had a wonderfuly room with all modern amenities in an old traditional town house. The town of Fermoy has a history and present worth absorbing. Wonderful walks along the riverbank and fishing for those who like to relax by an open river. More

On arrival we were given a very friendly welcome by Mary, our hostess. Host Leo was equally friendly and helped with maps, directions and suggestions for places to visit. The room was large and clean as was the en-suite. Breakfasts were excellent and provided us with energy for the days' travels. We found Fermoy to be an interesting town and... More

Staying at the Virginia House was truly a highlight of my trip to beautiful Fermoy. Mary, the owner, was not only incredibly hospitable but also an excellent cook and we ended up staying even longer than anticipated since we hated to leave. Her husband, Leo was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advice. I... More

Mary (Landlady) truely looked after us at the Virigina. The B&B is located just over the bridge in the main town of Fermoy. Our room was at the top of the house which is fine with us as we are young and fit enough! The room was very clean, it had a TV and a good size bathroom. The breakfast... More

A warm Irish welcome awaits you at Virginia House which is over 200 years old and is conveniently located in Fermoy centre, next to the river Blackwater. The rooms have been brought up to modern standards and are very clean and equipped with all modern facilities. We hired 3 rooms and some were bigger than the others and all were... More
