Could not say enough about the staff at this hotel. We stayed for a week and found it first class. The staff here could give some five star hotels a run for there money. The food was of superb quality. The rooms where clean and spotless. Would recommend this establishment to anyone going this way.

We were travelling around Donegal in our camper van, and when we arrived in Dunfanaghy, we had a problem with our camper. We went in to the hotel for some hot water, and they offered us a room for the night!! The staff were very understanding and looked after us well, at a late hour of the night.

We were in the Carrig Rua over the Easter holidays with our grown up family, their little children and my elderly mother. The new road from Letterkenny has really speeded up the travelling time from Letterkenny.....made for a much easier journey! The town was buzzing and there was a great atmosphere, with each of the hotels and pubs regularly providing...

"Hotel" (I use the phrase jokingly) is situated in pretty village of Dunfanaghy and looks great (freshly painted) from the outside with lovely views over the bay. Reception area and restaurant are newly decorated - so we decided to give it a punt and stay the night. **Terrible, terrible mistake** Go through the doors from the reception into the bedroom...

There are mixed reviews about this hotel... ignore the good ones this place should NOT have the title Hotel.
Decor - a bit of a time warp here furniture was terrible in the room, yet the entrance was all new giving a good, and wrong, impression.
Food - well there's no breakfast included and the food in the evening was...

This place is great- right overlooking the sea, convenient to shops, very friendly and warm atmosphere. Don't miss the Seafood restaurant- awesome Caesar Salad besides seafood dishes.
Very good value for the setting and great music 7 nights a week. Highly recommended. We were a party of three and we all felt the same.
