We have just returned from a wonderful aftenoon at the BerryLodge cookery school at near Miltown Malbay. We travelled there as a group of friends, while staying at the Lodge at Doonbeg(another great place to stay). A warm welcome awaited us from Rita and Marguerite, who provided us with tea home made scones and chocolate biscuit cake. We spent the... More

Just a quick note to thank you most sincerely for your many kindnesses during our recent and most restful stay in your gorgeous home. We call it a home because for us that is exactly what we felt and indeed how we were treated. We were made feel more like family or friends rather that simply 'guests' and for this... More

Did a wonderful cookery course with rita and margareuit. 9 of us did it together and I couldn't speak highly enough of it. We started the morning with tea and coffee and the most delicious scones. We then observed Rita showing us a how to do certain things which was very interesting. Then everyone in our group was given a... More

Welcomed with a cup of tea and true Irish hospitality, we really enjoyed our stay at Berry Lodge near the very scenic Spanish Point in Clare. At great value - the rooms were very clean and had everything we needed, breakfast was great. First time we stayed in an Irish B & B and really felt the Irish hospitality -... More

Travelled with partner for two nights in October. It was very quiet. Took part in a cookery course all day Saturday. It was a refreshing treat - a taste of real Irish hospitality. Comfortable bed in nicely furnished room. Lovely food and wine all served up by wonderful staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Rita for making our... More

WE stayed here for two nights/one dinner which we felt was a good price. We were welcomed warmly by Rita even though we were a bit earlier than we had said we would be. Over tea and scones we had a nice visit and she recommended nearby Bellbridge Hotel for dinner. It was an excellent meal and we were well... More

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night and we were delighted with our short trip. Rita is a wonderful hostess who welcomed us to her B&B with a lovely cup of tea/coffee and homemade scones and jam! Delicious! Rita herself has great charm and we had a lovely chat with her - very helpful and recommended a lovely... More

We were very disappointed in this B&B. The description is not correct. This facility is an old farmhouse being run as a cooking school and restaurant, with a few bedrooms. As B&B customers, we felt like second-class customers - a burden to the school/restaurant operation. The restaurant stayed open until midnite on a week night - very noisy. No place... More

What a treat! This beautiful renovated family house brought up to current standards was just the right thing for our 2 day stay. Views of Spanish Point and the ocean beyond out the windows were great. A welcome of tea and scones was just what we needed after a long day's drive. Sitting in the large dining area fitted with...
