We stayed at Carnagh House for approximately 2 weeks. This is a great B&B. Everything is spotless clean. The Irish breakfasts are delicious . Unlike other B&B's, we were able to come and go from the house all day long at our leisure. We had the option of preparing our own meals in the kitchen and there was a nice... More

Four of us stayed here for one night as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Slieve Russell hotel. We arrived on a dreary wet Friday afternoon and were welcomed by the cheerful owner Rosaleen Howden. She proceeded to provide us with complimentary tea/coffee and lovely home baked scones and buns. Rosaleen then kindly drove us to the hotel.... More

What can I say! We travelled to Cavan to attend a wedding in the Slieve russell, after a long car journey we arrived to Carnagh house and were greeted by the lovely Rosaleen! We were made feel so at home, the rooms were spotless! Breakfast was great and we had the crack with Rosaleen! I would recommend this b&b without... More

We had a fabulous time in this well-equipped house. Great value for money and nothing too much bother for Rosaleen, the hostess with the mostest! She cooked, listened to us and gave us information on the local area, which allowed us to explore the local countryside. The house is set in a peaceful area and surrounded by trees and fields.... Rosaleen gave great service. She was particularly and went the extra mile and helped me find some of my family roots (one side of my family grew up on a farm down the road!) Rosaleen seemed to know everyone in the area, and helped me with my plans. Plenty of time for a cuppa and fruit cake and she never... More

I have to let everyone know about this excellent B&B called An Carnagh House, Ballyconnell. We were attending a family wedding in the Slieve Russell & 6 of us stayed over & only 5 minutes from the hotel which was great. We met the lady of the house Rosaleen, an absolute lady might I add, on our arrival we had... More

Stayed in Carnagh House for one night to check out Slieve Russell Hotel for our wedding. Rosaleen, the hostess is by far the warmest B&B hostess we have ever met. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Rosaleen offered us complimentary sandwiches and tea when we arrived, and offered us the use of the kitchen whenever we wanted. She also offered... More

Stayed here recently for a wedding. Very much a family run B&B. The owners are all very welcoming and easy going. Room was grand, not the biggest but for one night it was fine. Only problem was the bedroom as downstairs beside the front door and opposite the lounge/dining room. At about 6am people were slamming in and out the... More
