My wife and I did a traveling trip around the northern half of Ireland and stayed in ten different places, including one night in Rusheen. We stayed in some excellent places but Rusheen was by far the best of the ten. The room was perfect; comfortable, well lit, undamaged, and very enjoyable. The place was beautiful inside and out. Breakfast... More

We spend a night here and it more than met our expectations. Our suite was large and very comfortable with views of the walled garden. Karen our host was quite gracious and prepared us a very nice breakfast. We did have a bit of trouble finding it. This was on our first night in Ireland, and we did not realize... More

We stayed in the Garden Suite, which is a lovely room on the ground floor. It had a separate sitting room that looked out into the garden. Very quiet room, very comfortable bed, friendly staff, and good breakfast. Overall very happy with our stay here. More

The owners are very warm and hospitable. The rooms are lovely and clean. The town is a great place to stop and catch your breath from site seeing overload. Near by are the Great Aillwee Caves discovered by the great grandfather of the current lodges owner. Lastly breakfast was yummy and filling. A definite hit. If you find yourself at... More

We strongly recommend this lovely lodge in north county clare. It is extremely comfortable and cozy, with many nice touches in a sweet garden setting. Very conveniently located. The staff couldn't be nicer and are ready to help with any sort of advice or extra help that you may need. Also, the lodge is situated adjacent to one of the... More

A word of caution about Rusheen Lodge in Ballyvaughn, Ireland. Our traveling party of four arrived at Newark Airport and before take off, due to the volcanic ash problem, our flight to Ireland was cancelled. The airlines could not book us on another flight for at least 4 days and that was not guaranteed. Due to the uncertainty of airline... More

Rusheen Lodge is perfect in every aspect. Arriving without reservations our host made every effort to provide us with the perfect room for our family. The lodge is sparkling clean and attractive. The rooms are modern and spacious. A gourmet breakfast with outstanding fresh salmon on the menu along with other delicious breakfast foods. The dish was presented with fresh,... More

We arrived quiet late after checking several B&B's in the town without luck when we found this piece of diamond. We haven't booked but the owner was very helpful, even offered a discount because of late arrival. The room we get with my friends (3 person altogether) was the most beautiful and largest suite I've ever seen with two comfortable... More
