Our stay at Oranmore Lodge Hotel & Restaurant provided a spacious room that could easily accommodate a family of five, although we were only two guests. The room was clean and basic, albeit the beds were showing signs of age with noticeable sagging in the middle. While the size of the room was a pleasant surprise, the worn-out beds were a slight disappointment. The staff were not overly friendly, we actually felt unwelcome here by many of the staff from when we first arrived until we left. Throughout our stay, we encountered some issues with the parking situation, particularly towards the end of the night when guests were double parked, leading to delays in leaving the premises. This lack of monitoring or management of the parking area was frustrating. In the restaurant, the staff were not overly friendly, and the service left something to be desired. While my spouse found the lodge burger to be satisfactory, my roast of the day was nothing special. Overall, the dining experience was lacking, and we didn't feel particularly welcomed.

Awful! Just simply awful. The reception gentleman was dry and not welcoming. My husband and I ate at the restaurant, the fish and chips were great and the lasagna tasted like the sauce was straight out of a can. The room on the listing were completely misleading. Our room looks like it’s part of the maids quarters…. Tiny!!! See photos! This is far from a 4 star hotel. 2 starts are generous. The heater didn’t work and when we called the front desk, they sent up this portable one and didn’t bother to set up and make sure it worked. It did not. Horrible experience and would not recommend. I wish I could post pictures. Awful.

This is a really good hotel. It’s excellent value for money. The rooms are elegant and cosy, the staff are really polite and helpful, the pool is fab and the bar and restaurant are excellent value for money. The lobby area has a real wow factor!

Wonderfully attentive staff, from the initial booking...answered all my questions efficiently. Beautiful hotel, great check-in... lovely warm clean room... Great price... we had seafood chowder in the bar, which was delicious and the staff there couldn't have been nicer. We attended a civil wedding ceremony there which was just a special experience.. thanks for a great stay..

Me and my husband stayed here 27th jan for one night. Lovely hotel. Great staff. Bed is super comfortable! Room spotless! Used the leisure centre for the gym. Brilliant for a hotel gym! Everything you need. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again! Town is a short walk away with nice bars and a few restaurants

We stayed at the Oranmore Lodge in January 2024 for a family wedding. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. Vaho was great. He was so attentive, and absolutely brilliant with all of the children. I am a wheelchair user and he was so helpful, doing everything he could to make things as easy as possible for me. Although the hotel was lovely, unfortunately it was not accessible, which meant I was unable to get into various rooms, including the breakfast room and the toilets on the ground floor. There were no accessible family bedrooms and this is not acceptable in 2024. I would urge the hotel to invest in adaptations to make things comfortable for everyone.

Out of our entire Ireland stay, this hotel was our lowest point. For a labeled “4 star” hotel, it felt very sub par. The front desk staff that checked us in was rude. The room was poor (Lack of paint, exposed pipes, a shower that got water over the entire bathroom). It was overcrowded with parties making it very loud. And the parking lot was an actual nightmare. We had to sit in our car for 15 minutes just to fight for a spot. To top it off when we checked out they gave us “additional charges because you weren’t billed right for the room on check-in”. I will say the food was very good, especially the afternoon tea. This hotel just falls short on the hospitality and quality we experienced in other areas. If it was a 2 or 3 star hotel it would have been adequate because this hotel was nothing more than mediocre.

Good big room beds very comfy and clean. Food was to a very high standard and quality. Unfortunately the sound effects from the radiator in the room and the boiler room being situated beneath kept us awake so we left early. Would recommend but not room 202 too many sound effects.

Staff very welcoming and efficient. Food good and tasty. Bed extremely comfortable and sheets are the kind you can sink into with the high thread count! Everyone member of staff was pleasant and had a smile . I came here to have a relaxing break and I certainly had that. Also the hotel has a nice atmosphere, lacking in many other hotels. Nice piano near the bar .

Wonderful location for Galway and surrounding areas. Great food and friendly, helpful staff. Room fairly basic for a superior room and housekeeping was minimal during our 4night stay with only a towel change as needed and bed make provided.
