we live in Dublin we stayed over for a party and we decided to book the Porterhouse as the rooms looked good in their website, and when you go in they look pretty good, sort of bachelor pad, dark wooden floor, sleek interior but not so clean, small bed and toilet a pit gaunt and a little unidentified insect crawling... I was refused entry to the Porterhouse (while sober i should add) on the 28th of May. The reason given was "you are not local" which I take to be a racist remark because I had an english accent. This is absolutely disgraceful and racist behaviour from the door staff at the Porterhouse and of course I will never visit... More

Ok Granted, the rooms were freezing& there didn't seem to be dedicated hotel staff but the staff that were on site (in the bar) more than made up for it. Having visited the Porterhouse establishments in Dublin & London many times, I was delighted to have the opportunity to stay in Bray. The first thing that struck me was the grubbiness of the front, outside seated area followed by sticking to the floor when entering the bar (not clean). i have never stayed in the porter house as i live very near but five times me and my partner have tryed to meet up with friends and family but refused at the gate by 4 or 5 very rude bouncers who have no reason not to let us in were both in our twentys have never gave them any... More

We stayed at Porterhouse for 2 nights, the room was passable but we asked for a quietish room and got one beside the AC units. Then the noise from the nightclub meant we had to go back down to the bar as we couldn't sleep. When it came to pay we we overcharged by € 20 compared to the rate... More

We have just returned from a stay in the Porterhouse and was not very impressed. We we checked into our room it was very dirty - there was even vomit in the toilet bowel and beer stains on the bath and floor. I just came back from a 1 nights stay in the porterhouse. We had a beautiful room on the second floor and I couldn't ask for a nicer room it had everything we needed.
