My husband and I and our 4-year-old daughter stayed here for two nights. Big clean room, comfy beds, great shower, free Internet, two swings outside, friendly owners and sweet dog -- what more could a family want? No TV, so no option of early morning cartoons. Kitchen facilities helped us keep our food budget under control. Although the lodge isn't... More

Beautifully renovated old building with great views of Hore Abbey from the spotless and comfortable rooms. The owner is very friendly and the location is ideal. Very highly recommended. More

We just got back from eight days in Ireland. Wanting to see the Rock of Cashel and visit an inland county, I looked for a cheap place to stay in the area. This turned out to be the highlight lodging of our trip. It's the off-season and we were one of two rooms occupied in the lodge. The rooms are... More

Great, Beautiful room. We got a private double with a nice shower. Best location of the whole trip. Right next to Hore Abbey, right in the backyard of the rock. Totally walkable to everything even in November. Cheap. Can pay them to do load of laundry. Best dog of the whole trip! More

I honestly cannot find anything wrong with this place. Great location just next to Hore Abbey and a 10 min walk to Rock of Cashel and downtown Cashel, cute dog, friendly owners, clean and warm and comfy dorm beds, clean and private shower stalls, nice kitchen, free Internet, just a really nice place to sleep in and admire, really! Despite... More

The accomodations could not have been better. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The proprietor, Brid O'Brien provided a wonderful breakfast. I would recommend this facility to anyone, especially great for families. Great location. More

We had been travelling for a week through Ireland and needing a place to relax. We did stay in the town of Cashel at a nice BandB below the rock, but while out for a walk we came accorss the most lovely lodge next to Hore Abby. This place is a hidden jem (maybe not so hidden) if you make... More

The "wow factor" here is amazing. I was traveling with in a group of 5 women (all family) with 4 being first-time visitors to Ireland. I organized the trip and found the reviews of O'Briens very helpful in choosing our first night's accomodations. We were certainly NOT disappointed and it set a great tone for the remainder of our holiday... More

My family of 5 stayed for 2 nights in chilly January. We had 2 adjoining rooms of very high quality and were the only guests at the time. The shared kitchen, dining and lounge areas were clean and well presented. For our family it was great to be able to spread out, altough I think the kitchen area may be... More

Of the many place we stayed on our two week trip to Ireland the O'Brien Lodge was at the top of our list. We enjoyed a wonderful room in a great location. The hospitality of Tom & Brid O'Brien was outstanding. The tour of the Rock of Cashel was great as well as our hike up the rock at sunrise.... More
