Myself and my boyfriend was driving through Cashel and decided to stop to get something to eat. We got some food in the pub which is part of the Hotel. I could not fault the food as it was lovely. We decided then that we would stay in the Castle Hotel as it would be a great experience to say,... More

We stopped at the Kearneys Castle Hotel for lunch on Sunday 23rd September as one of the few places to eat in a popular tourist town. The menu seemed varied and interesting, and despite the place being packed we were served quite quickly. We chose a steak and the tarragon chicken, both of which were served nicely cooked and proved... More

On a whim my travelling companions and I decided to go to Cashel without a reservation. The beautiful Bishops Palace across the road from the Kearney's Castle Hotel was fully booked. (It's beautiful with a lovely garden view of the Rock of Cashel). We went across the street and since it was late in the day got 2 rooms at... More

Avoid this place at all costs for food! Last Sunday my wife and I were en-route to Cork when we stopped off in Cashel for some lunch. The entire experience was truly awful. The bar was not busy (approximately 6 customers) and three waiting staff were on duty. After thirty five minutes our food finally arrived. I had ordered the... More

My family and I stayed in Cashel for 2 nights. It's a wonderful town and well worth a visit. On our first night we went to Kearney's castle for a meal. It has everything going for it, it's a castle in the centre of busy tourist town and despite the best efforts of the chef in producing a excellent meal... More

We really enjoyed the set menu here- a very impressive selection, well prepared and presented. Massive portions and delicious pudding plate!

After seeing the menus shown at the front door, I decided to give this restaurant a try for a quick diner before going back to Dublin. The place is a kind of dark inside and, as noticed by previous commentators, seems to be empty most of the time. I was in fact the only customer when I got in, and... More

Had dinner here which was nice. but asked him whether he had passed the VAT reduction on to customers. He said there is no VAT on food. Im in the food business so I know this is not true. Disapointing as a really good location albeit really dark inside. we ate outside as it was a sunny day.

The rooms were freezing, No sound proofing and the owner / manager was extreamly rude. Just avoid this place at all costs unless you are very desperate.
