This place is awful! Accommodation, literally, consists of a box with nowhere to hang your clothes. It is a very small 4 room cottage broken up into 4 double boxes. with no soundproofing. One could be forgiven for thinking that you were a voyeur, on the set of an x rated movie listening to the goings on in the next... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here a few times years ago and felt it was good value for money. Went back recently with a member of my family and wasnt impressed. I think it is definitely overpriced nowadays. Accomodation, being little houses near the pub is very, very basic and has not been updated at all and you can hear... More

I stayed here for one night and beleive me will never again! Ur stuck in a little room in a four bedroom cottage with no sound proof between the rooms so you can hear every conversation between the other guests. Many of the cottages were empty when we stayed so they could have spread the guests out, but they didn't... More

Had not read your reviews before my partner and I went to the Cottage Inn last year. Thank god we didnt. We had a fabulous time. Everyone was so friendly, lovely and clean and for the price we paid, food you couldnt fault it. We were on a Harley, going around Ireland, and were going again this year. Loved the... More

After checking the area for a visit to Bantry and Garnish Island we decided to stay in Glangariff ... as i understood it was quiet ... First mistake there are only a few places to stay the Eggleston Hotel apparently the best but booked in advance. was full very reasonably priced at 55 euro p.p. and situated in the first... More

I stayed one night in this establishment and am still fuming at the arrogant, unfriendly attitude of the owner. The rooms were tiny and grotty, the car park littered with 2 or 3 rusty vans filled with junk. The bathrooms were smelly. AVOID - AVOID- AVOID. We stayed at a B&B down the road in Glengarrif the following night, the... More

I just read the damning review of the Cottage Bar and felt I had to give an alternative view. The accommodation is cheap and thats great. Its clean and well placed, smack-bang in the middle of Glengarriff. The cottages are mini-houses - built around a courtyard where you can park your car round the back of the pub. The rooms... More

We stayed here for two nights in August 2004, and boy, did we get what we paid for! If I could give it 0/5, I would. The Cottage Bar in Glengarrif is ideally located to visit areas of interest in West Cork, particularly the beautiful Garnish Island. When you consider that a weekend away in Ireland can often be as... More
