We rolled into Lisdoonvarna and encountered the last weekend of the Matchmaker's festival. Quite a hoot! Lots of music, some really good, some...well the beer was good. The Wild Honey was the perfect spot for our first night in Ireland. Our room was spacious and very quiet with the exception of the occasional creaking floorboard. The restaurant was fantastic. Very... More

My wife and I spent a night in The Wild Honey Inn in early November. We had wanted to eat in Aidan McGrath's restaurant for some time so we decided to make a night of it and stay there as well. It turned out to be a great decision and overall we had a wonderful experience! We stayed in a... More

We stayed and ate in this quiet inn near the end of a three week vacation in Ireland. We found the room very comfortable with access to a garden area. Nice touches like soft wool 'nap blankets' were welcome in the blustery weather. Good breakfast in an attractive room. Dinner was served in the pub but is a large step... More

Stayed here in September and discovered that there was a festival in Lisdoonvarna. We were expecting it to be noisy. This was not the case. The location of Wild Honey Inn is perfect, just a little walk from the town centre. Rooms and simple and freshly decorated with nice personal touches, (Irish handwoven wool throws) We ate in the bar... More

We Stayed here in August by chance. Our room was in the main part of the Inn, It was very nicely appointed and the colours were well matched with the period of the building. The owners have a keen eye for detail. It turned out that the one of the owners Aidan is also the chef, this couple have a... More

Found the restaurant, very expensive, portions small and the service was so slow. Arrived at 6.15, hoping to be out in an hour to hit the town, it was 9.15 when we left the restaurant. Service was very very slow, and the menu was so expensive. Black pudding starter was €9.50 which consisted of one piece of black pudding, apple... More

I feel bad posting a bad review because the service was okay and the owners were friendly enough...but, this place is EXTREMELY expensive for what you get. There is no parking, you are stuck parking on the street. Our room was on the 1st floor and the walls were paper thin. We could hear every movement of people going up... More
