We stayed two nights at the Augill House recently while in the area for a friend's wedding. The house is in a rural area which was quite beautiful. Our room looked out over rolling fields, with grazing sheep to complete the pastoral picture. Breakfasts were outstanding - the daily specials I tried were all fantastic (scrambled eggs with smoked salmon;... More

I turned up with about an hour's notice, but rather than being annoyed at my rudeness (as Mark and Trish could easily have been) I was offered a cup of tea with a couple of biscuits and we had a great chat about the area before I headed out for a fantastic dinner at Moran's Oyster Cottage (which is a... I have just returned from a wonderful break in Ireland, where our party of six (3 couples) did a mini tour south from Dublin and across to Galway then back to Dublin for our flight home. We stayed in several B&B's along the way all with their own charms, as is usually the way in Ireland. However I have to... More

Augill House is in a class of its own. Mark and Tricia have established a purpose-built house that offers every possible comfort to overnight guests. Fresh milk for your in-room tea and coffee, large selection of books and videos, power-showers, extra-large beds, and superb views over lovely countryside. The breakfast menu includes organic yogurt, fresh fruit and a special of... More

We were welcomed with tea and the most delicious cake when we arrived. Our room was big , bright and well furnished. Good breakfasts and tea/coffee in room. A walk away from Thoor Ballylee (Yeats' Tower). It was an ideal location for the wedding we attended at Lough Cutra Estate. A very nice, friendly stay. Will be back!

This is a fabulous B&B. It is immaculate in decor and cleanliness. You honestly couldn't wish for anything better. We were greeted warmly with tea and delicious scones in a lovely lounge with a wood burning stove. The beds were great, not too hard and not too soft, and the power shower was a luxury you rarely find anywhere else.... More

The best Guesthouse we stayed in Ireland. The site doesn't shows the real image and sense of the house. We stayed there only 2 nights in August passing through West Ireland. The whole place was fine and clean. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable and furniture matched nicely with the pieceful surroundings of the house. Beds were soft and cosy... More

I used Augill House as a base for myself whilst working in the west of Ireland. The house is a new build and the rooms are beautiful, all with en suite facilities. After a week using other guest houses it was the only place I got a much appreciated full nights sleep and a tasty breakfast the following morning. Above all... More

Augill House has an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance that is encouraged by the wonderful couple who run this fine establishment. I would recommend anyone who wanted to find somewhere to have some 'r and r' to take a trip into south Galway and stay with Mark and Tricia. The website ((--)) doesn't do justice to the quality of the... More

We were very impressed with this guest house. Our room was large and comfortable, there is a sitting room for guests, and the breakfasts are excellent. It is worth staying at least 2 nights and exploring the area. Coole Park is magnificent and the coastal area wild and beautiful. Our hosts had lots of information about places to visit and... More
