Knockeven House was a lovely retreat for a few days. The home was extremely comfortable and very clean and the hosts were most cordial. Pam and John made me feel very much at home, attentive without being overbearing and very generous in many ways. As a solo traveller, I appreciated the time they took to drive me into Cobh and... My husband and I went to Ireland for our honeymoon this past August, and Knockeven House was our first B&B outside of Dublin. We arrived there a bit later than we had planned, but when we did, Pam greeted us like a concerned family member awaiting the arrival of her guests from away! From the moment we drove through the... Where do I begin? This vacation was perfect! This particular Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful hidden gem in the heart of Cobh near all of the historic sites but away from the crowds. This is a lovely home hosted by a wonderful hostess and new found friend. We were greeted at the front door and welcomed to her drawing... More

This "Country Home" is beautiful. The rooms are large and decorated beautifully. Your breakfast is served in a lovely dining room and the table is set like a fine hotel. Also, the breakfast was delicious. Loved the scones! Pam is a great host and gave us many great ideas for places to see on our trip. A wonderful visit for... More

I lived in this house over 35 years ago and having read the reviews wanted to stay there.Pam and John have made it a stunning guesthouse and the room was lovely. (TV not so good if you need to watch). What makes Knockeven special is the welcome you get. Pam was so nice and against our wishes (full from Irish... More

We booked through Karen Brown. What a wonderful stay! Huge beautiful rooms, excellent location. Love the town! Take the train into Cork - go see the English Market in Cork, visit the Titanic Museum, come back in time for tea. Best place we stayed in our 2 weeks in Ireland. More

What a welcome stay we had at Knockeven House. Pam and John were so accommodating to our group of 6. They went out of their way to make reservations for us in town. Pam delivers a wonderful feast for breakfast. Loved the scones! More

This place really is superlative. Grand enough to feel like a country house hotel, but with all the personal touches of a great B&B. Pam's welcome is warm and friendly, and her scones are great. The room was splendid: huge, beautifully furnished and comfortable. The ensuite seemed a perfectly good size to me; maybe those who perceived it as small... More
