Thelma and Michael were great hosts and helpful about the area, the town and Cobh History. I would recommend this B&B to all. More

Amberleigh House harks back to c. 1835, and is vividly decorated with an array of art and brightly painted walls inside. All of the guest rooms are upstairs, and ours had a great view over Cobh harbour. The beds are most comfortable and the shower isn't a shower, it's a monsoon! Your host Michael isn't quite that old, but his... More

Our daughter had made all our reservations for us and both I and my husband felt this was the best of our 4 B and B's. I personally loved the quiet street and it was an easy walk to be in the downtown/harbor area. Michael assured us that he would cook us a wonderful breakfast (his wife was traveling) and... More

We had the house to ourselves as there were 5 of us! and Mike was an amazing host and an interesting guy! The rooms are lovely and big and the showers are incredible! The views of Cobh bay cannot be beaten in the area! Breakfast was great and it felt like we were leaving a friend when we said goodbye... More

Staying at Amberleigh House for 1 week was most enjoyable. My room was very comfortabl;e, and had a superb view over Cobh Harbour towards Spike Island and Haulbowline. The full Irish breakfast was hearty, and set me up for the whole day!! The hospitality was superb - nothing was too much trouble. I should like to return for another holiday... More

First we would like to say "THANK YOU" for welcoming us into your home. Michael greeted us with a very warm welcome, after showing us to our room he offered to help with our luggage which was more then we expected & very thoughtful. We had a room with a great view of the bay & it also over looked... More

Amberleigh House provides everything that a great B&B should... attractive, comfortable rooms, an excellent breakfast, fantastic location, and the friendly attention and service that separate B&B's from other forms of lodging. Amberleigh House is situated a few hundred feet above the harbor in Cobh. It is on a quiet street, but just a couple of minutes walk from the heart... More

My entire family of 7 have no complaints about this B and B. Michael and Thelma greeted us into their home and immediately made us feel incredibly welcome. After a short visit, Michael gave us some great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. Both Michael and Thelma went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. Breakfast... More

Amberleigh House is located at the end of a lane high above Cobh harbor. Our room had an unobstructed view across the cruise terminal toward the Atlantic. The spacious room and well appointed bath were very comfortable. Michael and Thelma were gracious hosts full of suggestions. The building is a remodeled mansion dating from the late 1800s.Lots to do in... More
