If you are looking for a modern and boaring hotel as there is so many all over the world like in big cities, don't go there. But if you are more interested in a traditionnal, authentic and friendly irish hotel, this is the place to go ! Very well situated between the ring of Kerry and Dingle penensula, good atmosphere,... We checked trip advisor before travelling to Ireland and tried to book this hotel as the reviews were so good but could not get a reservation. After arriving in glenbeigh we decided that we would come here for lunch. It was the such a horrible experience. My husband got the chicken curry which had only dark pieces of chicken, obviously... Dear Majella S, Thank you for your recent review. I was saddened to hear that you didnt enjoy your experience here with us at The Olde Glenbeigh Hotel. As you pointed out all recent reviews have been positive which is most lightly the reason you could not get a reservation to stay. We are a popular stop with tourists and... More

Although it was called a hotel I didn't class it as one, more like a large pub. We thought the meals were average. I don't know what the the star rating was but going on the hotels we have stayed in in Ireland would class this one as 2*. The hotel was in need of renovation which I believe was... More

Dear IrishmolBirmingham, Thank you for your recent review. We were in fact in the middle of renovations at the time of your stay. The guest lounge areas have been fully refurbished along with a section of the bedrooms. With all the disruption going on maybe the Hotels charm and character was disguised. There will be a new website online in... More

Although we did not stay at the Olde Glenbeigh Hotel, we had some beautiful meals in the Hotel while on holiday at Hillcrest Cottage, Glenbeigh. The Hotel itself is comfortable and welcoming, and the Staff make you feel at home, and go out of their way to give you a meal to remember. Would also like to say thank you... More

This is a family run hotel and the customer service reflects this. It's not just a job to the people working here..... its more like their calling in life! Everyone chips in and you are made to feel like one of the family. The food was amazing - almost a shame to call it bar food cause its so much... More

We didn't actually stay here during our time in Kerry but we did visit the restaurant twice - seeing as this was a 45min drive from where we were staying will give you an indication of how much we loved Olde Glenbeigh Hotel. The food was lovely on both occasions with something to suit all 6 of us (2 adults... More

Stayed here from 9th to 14th july with my husband and another couple. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and always served with a smile. Great value for money. Would not hesitate to come back to this lovely friendly place! More

The Old Glenbeigh Hotel hosted myself and a group of hikers this 2011 May bank holiday weekend. The standard of service was brilliant; friendly and helpful staff and relaxed atmosphere, great character to rooms and bar, lovely food, great location and super value for money. The Hotel hosted a group meal of 60 which impressed everyone. I would highly recommend... More

We stayed over the new year period for 5 days and despite recovering from frozen pipes and the consequential challenges we have never felt so welcome and at home while travelling. We planned to eat somewhere different each night but once in the bar, close to the fire with a delicious pint of guinness on the table and the knowledge... More
