I stayed at the Faul House in Sept 2010 with my parents. My parents had a very large double room and I had a room with 2 single beds (also very large). Both had en suite bathrooms. Both rooms were very comfortable and roomy. The furniture was a little dated but still clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and... More

This lovely extended horse raising farmhouse just outside Clifden featured a very large second floor room with three beds, a great view of the hills surrounding the town, a mini fridge in the room, and a breakfast with vegetarian choices for our one night stay in July 2011. The family including husband Michael and three of the children drew together... More

We return to this Bed and Breakfast in beautiful Connemara time after time and are never disappointed. Kathleen and Michael Conneely make every guest feel special with their warm welcome and personal interest. Michael breeds Connemara ponies while Kathleen is in charge of the house. Faul House is about two miles from Clifden, along a quiet country road so provides... More

We enjoyed Faul House so much on our visit in 2010, we decided to return this year and stayed for three nights with Mike and Kathleen. Gracious hosts who prepare the best breakfast ever. Eggs are collected the night before from the hen house, and you dare not want them scrambled. As Kathleen says , it destroys a perfect egg,... More

If you only stay at one B&B when visiting Ireland, make Faul House the one. Everything that has been written in the previous reviews about warm welcomes, great breakfasts and comfortable and spacious rooms is true. For those who like walking, Faul House is well placed for a stroll into town - it's 2 miles out of town, but a... More

The only bad thing I can say is that we only stayed one night. My family of 5 (kids 15, 13 ,13) stayed here one night June 15 and could not have asked for a better place. The town of Clifden is a beautiful gem where you could spend days relaxing. The house is close to Kylemore Abbey which is... More

We are a young family with 2 children ages 10 and 14. After spending the afternoon on Inish Mor, we travelled from Rosseveel to Clifden on the N59. This drive, the Lakes of Killarney, and the Dingle Penninsula are the prettiest drives we had in 12 days in Ireland. Connemara has left the most enduring imprint on my memory. Faul... More
