We stayed at the Desmond House mid-October during our 2 week trip to Ireland. We were able to get a great deal for staying three days and paying cash. Michael was the most gracious host and we absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay at the Desmond House. The breakfasts were amazing and the room was very comfortable and clean. Our... More

Baased on the great reviews we read on Trip Advisor, we booked our one night in Kinsale at Desmond House. Unfortunately our experience there was overall a big disappointment. The room was certainly comfortable, however not as clean as I would have liked. The crystal chandelier over the bed was very dusty & even had cobwebs on it. The bathroom... More

We had the pleasure of staying with Michael at Desmond House and could not be more pleased with our choice of B & B. Michael went out of his way to make us welcome, even walking down to find us (when we were 'mislaid'), and carrying our bags back to his lovely home. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The... Hopefully by reading the other reviews, you have a sense of how relaxing and enjoyable Kinsale and Desmond House are and our experience was no different. The town is lovely and the B&B is chaming. Our room was big and looked out over the city. We truly enjoyed sitting in the big comfy chairs and staring out the window. Michael... More

Kinsale was our favorite stop on our visit to Ireland and Desmond House was our B&B. Michael was the perfect host. He was on the spot with food and beverage recommendations. His home is very well maintained. Of all the places we stayed (both in Ireland and Scotland) the breakfast at Desmond House was the most varied. Michael gave us... More

Our stay in Kinsale was too short. Will fix that next time around. Great place to stay. Michael was the most charming Irishman we met on our 10 day visit. Perfect visit. Highly recommend. More

With my wife and son, we had the pleasure to visit Kinsale and stay at Desmond House. Micheal was the perfect host, warm and caring. He introduced us to Kinsale, colorfully explaining how the town propered and develop over time. It was pure delight! The B&B is perfectly located, right in the middle of town with every sight within walking... More

My family and I stayed at the Desmond House 13 years ago and I promised that when my boyfriend and I went to Ireland that we would stay there. It didn't disappoint. Michael was the perfect host; we were exhausted and had a bit of a harried drive to Kinsale, he was a sight for sore eyes when we walked... More

My husband , daughter and I stayed for 3nights while traveling in Ireland. Michael, our host was tremendously helpful and full of history and information. Each morning he gave us tips on our travels while serving delicious breakfasts. Our room was large and comfortable, it became our favorite "place" in Ireland and we would love to return someday!
