This was the most disgusting place I have ever been in my life. The bed was not clean and me and my friend had to put a blanket on the sheet because it was so crubmy. The staff were evil pigs and the shower had so many in it. Not to mention the water was freezing. And don’t get me started on the “Italian” restaurant beside. The most vile food ever and breakfast.... I have no words. Please please DO NOT GO HERE. I still have nightmares to this day. Bundoran is a beautiful place but that hostel needs to be in room 101. Also the cupboard had a big black hole and it said Johnny McSmoke? I don’t know if that was for a laugh but I thought I was going to be possessed. I feel physically sick typing this.

Our Rowing Club recently stayed at Homefield Rock Hostel for 4 nights. It was our second time here and was just as enjoyable as before. We were a mixed group of 50 adults and children. From the start we liaised with Ciara who made sure everything was ready for us and moved beds around to suit our needs going above and beyond to facilitate all requests. The location is excellent and within walking distance of everything and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here if you are looking for clean facilities at a very reasonable price. Its got everything you need comfy beds, clean sheets, hot water and great location. You dont need to go far for good food either as there is a fantastic Italian restaurant where we ate on all 4 nights right next door called La Sabbia. We hope to return to the area again and would definitely stay here again…

I booked last minute to spend a night away for the bank holiday. It was good value for money, the location is in walking distance of the town, staff are friendly and helpful. It is very basic so you would need your own toiletries including hand soap and towels but the beds were comfy and en suite shower worked well so thats the important things covered.

I spent a night here back in August while walking around Ireland in aid of Pieta House and they were kind enough to put me up! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It's also perfectly situated if you want to pop into the centre of town for a meal or a drink. Great place to stay!

Great hostel for the price. Breakfast was basic but perfect for what we needed. Staff were very helpful. Showers do take a few minutes to get warm but it was explained that it is the oldest building in the town so that is understandable. Brilliant location and the adventure centre across the road were fantastic and got us sorted with our surf lessons.

I went 5 people to this "rock" hostel with good expectations. Just when we entered they ask us for a fiancé of 20 euros per person.. That gave us bad feelings about the place. When we entered into the room two mattresses were broken, a fork and a bottle of beer were at the room showing us that nobody clean the rooms in ages. The decoration was a crap.. "80's room".. Holes at the wall..and the best thing ever.. Cold water at the shower. To finish, the "continental breakfast" in a dirty kitchen was .. No comments. If you decide to go there .. Experiment it yourself XD.

Stayed here during the Sea Sessions festival. I couldn't recommend this hostel anymore. Clean Rooms, Friendly Staff, 5/10 minute walk to the beach. The common rooms were the best aspect where everyone could mingle and meet new people. Will be back next year! I have to give a shout out to Jo who runs that place perfectly.
