This is, without doubt, one of my favorite places to stay in the West of Ireland. We have stayed on different occasions in the past ten years and have booked rooms both in the main house and in one of the self-catering cottages (lovely conversions from the old stables) in the back- perfect for families. Susan Kellett is a gracious... More

The house is superb, so is the estate around. I don't have enough of it. However, my room, bathroom needed a good renovation and modernised a stylish way ( like castle Lesley for example). The food was also good but could have been a bit more sophisticated. The overall experience worth the visit.

We spent three nights in this fine Irish home. It doesn't feel in the least bit like an Hotel and we were made to feel like privileged house guests. I don't know if room service is available: we wouldn't have dreamed of asking for it. Our large bedroom looked down towards the Lough and the sumptious bathroom looked out on... More

Susann, and her son Dj, provide the best atmosphere to just wind down and relax. I love this house, I love the atmosphere and it's the fact that you leave all the silly notions of hotels behind, it is a home, and guests are made feel like they are at home.

The setting of the house is spectacular and hard to match certainly unbeatable. Lough conn twinkling in front of the lawn to the sea, the nephew mountain behind. The house is in beautiful condition and you feel welcome to relax. We felt like a guests in a comfortable home. We stayed for one night with dinner but would like to... More

Barbara and I travelled to Enniscoe House for New Year's Eve. We considered ourselves to be quite brave as we were going spend the evening with a group of what my daughter calls - randomers! The house is charming and cosy while being really spacious. We were given the 'Major's room' which is enormous with a great bed and an... More

We hired one of the self-catering cottages attached to the House but took advantage of dinner in the hotel twice. The house is superb with welcoming fires and historic furniture and paintings. Dinner was nicely chosen and excellent quality with a choice of two dishes as a starter, main and dessert plus a soup and cheese. The wine list was well... More

Our 4 days days at Enniscoe House, while on a family research trip, were a highlight of our trip to Ireland! From our arrival through the front door, we felt as though we were part of the family. Our room was beautiful, oversized and comfortable. The house and grounds are both beautiful and historic. Susan and her son DJ were... More

The stay cost more than $300 per night, so we expected to be staying at a high quality country house. The house is in a beautiful and peaceful location, and the innkeepers are very kind. But the house is worn out and definitely not worth the money. The mattress was very old and lumpy, the blanket was stained, and the... More

We are very disappointed to learn that that you did not enjoy your stay at Enniscoe House. Enniscoe is our family home and it is very important to us that guests enjoy their experience. To address a particular issue the mattress was new last year but it may be softer than some people might like. With an historic house we... More

This Manor House has been in the same family for 13 generations!! Originally built in the 1730's there is tremendous history and a very unbelievable story behind the heritage of the house. Be sure to sit in front of one of the fireplaces relax, enjoy a drink and talk to DJ (or his mother Susan) about their family's history with... More
