My boyfriend and I stayed at Pontoon on New Years Eve. I was very apprehensive as I had gotten such a great deal (2 nights, B&B, with a dinner). I caught myself thinking 'is this too good to be true'. I am delighted to say it was not 'too good to be true'. We had a fabulous stay. The room... More

In 2009 my sister got married in the Pontoon Bridge Hotel. We had an amazing experience and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate my sister so that she could have her perfect day. It was absolutely fantastic and went without a hitch because of the support of Breeta and the staff at the Pontoon Bridge Hotel. The location is... More

We stayed over the new years eve and new years day. There was a wedding in the hotel on 1st night- and even though the hotel was so busy- the staff coped very... More

My husband and i stayed at this lovely hotel with our two dogs! It was one of the only dog friendly hotels in Mayo. It is a really lovely hotel with beautiful views and walks nearby. The rooms are very big, very comfortable and spotlessly clean! We really enjoyed the hearty roaring fire and lovely relaxing atmosphere in the bar. The staff... More

A warm welcome and a stunning location. We were looked after very well, despite a large number of guests attending a wedding. Rooms are very comfortable and great value. Food is of a good standard and not protensious. A few more wines on the list would be great. More

3 day half-term trip from UK Decent enough hotel; excellent breakfasts and good base to explore North West Ireland. Views across the Lough were stunning Enjoyed two good bar food meals but prices a bit dearer than would expect in the UK for similar food. Bar staff struggled to cope with a full hotel due to a wedding - not... More

This hotel is bad need of repair, or demolished and re-built from scratch. The "old wing" of the hotel smells of musty carpet and old furnishings, the floors squeek in the corridor to the rooms. The room it self is vile. I was not happy with this at all so I contacted Breeta, the manager, who has a high level... More

I am saddened to read your comments about Pontoon Bridge Hotel. The older wing of the hotel is scheduled an injection of capital expenditure in the spring, there are some areas that need attention. We have very positive feedback and repeat business in our restaurant and bar for our excellent food, I cannot understand your comments on the food. Regarding... More
