We were very impressed with the total package of this B and B. Mairid organised our golf for us at Carne which was cheaper than going through the golf club direct. There was a very friendly welcome and a great breakfast. We stayed at Broadhaven Bay last year, which really wasn't for us and we recommend Drom Caoin as a... more

One of the best B&B's we have stayed in during our 4 trips to Ireland. Mairin is the ultimate hostess, with great breakfasts that included lots of fresh fruit, unique cereals, custom cooked eggs, and excellent coffee. The Murphys know everything there is to know about the Belmullet/Erris area and can provide detailed maps and guides to fit every interest.... more

My family and I arrived at at this B&B after a long, tiring car ride from Dublin. Drum Caoin was conveniently located near the Belmullet town center, and close to my mother's birthplace in Barharve. Marin's warm welcome made us feel instantly at home, and we were delighted with our accomodations. Lovely, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms had been prepared... more

Drom Caoin was our home base for 3 gorgeous days exploring the Mullet, fortified each morning by Máirín's delicious and varied breakfasts -- particularly memorable were coconut scones among the home-baked goodies, and excellent French Press coffee. Máirín takes a special interest in each guest and will offer perfectly tailored suggestions for what to see and do on the Mullet,... more

We arrived at 2pm and were given a warm welcome from Mairin. We were also offered tea and soda bread which we accepted and was lovely. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely presented. Breakfast is served around a big table with all guests mingling together and having the opportunity to be sociable. The breakfast was very good with plenty... more

Gerry and Mairin were excellent hosts. Gerry even got the afternoon off to play golf with me at Carne (which is just about as fine a course as there is on the island). more

This B&B has been probably the best we found in Ireland and the warmth of welcome that we got is what makes a perfect holiday in a windy and land's end place such Belmullet. You really feel at home in there. We also had lunch and spend some time in the house. Exceptional the collection of muesli and jams at... more

With B&B's it is often the people whose spirit inhabits the house that you share that make it so memorable. So it is with Drom Caoin. We came to Belmullet for a game of links golf in wild and windy Belmullet. We got that and we learnt more of what the area offers and a little of Irish language education... more

Drom Caoin is my "home away from home" while I'm visiting Belmullet, Ireland. I've stayed there for every visit since I discovered it many years ago. The hosts and staff go above and beyond to insure a pleasant and comfortable experience without becoming intrusive. The travel industry people and those wishing to enter it would profit by a stay at... more

If you go to Belmullet - which you should - you must stay at Drom Caoin. Very fine rooms and a lovely guest lounge. The lady of the house cooks an excellent breakfast. At the longtable in the breakfast room she even managed to bring the guests together in a descreet and stll active way. The whole atmosphere was warm,... more
