Stay at Whispering Pines, and Mary will make you feel right at home. Short walking distance into town with easy access to roads leading to Ring of Kerry. Our room had a unique access to the en suite facilities; it was built into a wardrobe! Enough parking space in the back with a very large lawn. Breakfast is good and... More

We were not sure how to get to Whispering Pines, after being given directions Mary and her beautiful grandaughters were standing on the road to greet us. The kidness and warmth of the family was immediately apparent. We were given a cup of tea and home made baking once we had settled in. They provided us with information on local... More

We loved this place and stayed a second night because it was so great. The breakfast choices were superb in an elegant but comfortable setting. Helped us find our way around town, great advice on the area and even helped set us up with our next B and B. Tea time was also fantastic, even made a special gluten free... More

lovely setting, short walk to great shopping & restaurants; owner/staff very knowledgeable about tourist attractions, very welcoming, as we settled in. All rooms quiet and clean; morning meals great to start a day of walking on. Staff always went that extra mile - from sparkling clean bathrooms to finding us to deliver something we'd left behind. Felt as though we... More

Not much to add to the other reviews here, but this is a fabulous B&B. Mary and her entire family are sooo friendly and gracious. Delicious salmon and eggs for breakfast! Our only regret was that we left early to get a jump on the Ring of Kerry, so we weren't able to fully enjoy their wonderful hospitality. More

We arrived and were provided with tea in the front room and friendly conversation. The rooms and breakfast were perfect. Most importantly, while there we learned that our mother was critically ill and we had to get to her ASAP. Mary and her family were so very kind and supportive--words cannot express the gratitude I feel at their compassion and... More

From the moment of our arrival, we were made to feel as if we were part of the family. We spent 3 wonderful nights with Mary, Kathleen and young Jack. Tea/Coffee and cake in the parlour, on arrival, and on days 2 and 3 after we returned from touring around. The location is great as well. Ample parking, an easy... More

When we arrived without a reservation, we received a warm welcome from Mary, her daughter and granddaughters, offered tea and cookies, and introduced to other visitors with whom we had a lovely chat. Mary helped us in every way to have a comfortable and pleasant stay, giving us information about the peninsula and the town of Kenmare, which was just... More

I have been to Ireland 4 times and have stayed at Whispering Pines on 3 of those trips. I would not even consider staying anywhere else when in county Kerry. The Fitzgeralds are far and away the nicest people I have encountered in a land of nice people. They are incredible hosts....and cooks....and tour guides! More
