We loved Ashfield! You can't beat the location, it's perfect. Our breakfast was one of the best we had in Ireland - the french toast is AMAZING!! Our room was great - spacious, great shower, hot water, comfortable beds, plenty warm. and our hostess was just terrific - really friendly and great conversations! Stay here - it is WONDERFUL!!!! We stayed for one night in Sept 2011 and just loved it, it was definitely the nicest B&B we had stayed at during our week in Ireland. We found it totally by chance so we were thrilled. The tea and biscuits in the living room when we arrived were SO welcome. The room (rm 1 we think) was so spacious and... More

Stayed here for two nights after just calling in by chance. One a great move the room we had was spacious with fantastic views over the river and our host Mary made our stay very enjoyable. Cookies in the sitting room for afternoon tea was also enjoyed. The breakfast was great and all in all if you are staying in... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2011. Fantastic! By far the largest room and bed out of all B&Bs we stayed at. Our view from our room was amazing. This is a little bit out of town, but we walked it a few times and it took maybe 10 minutes at the most. The breakfast was fantastic as... More

This was our longest stop at any B & B on our trip and Mary made it a very good one. Our bedroom was very large with room to set up our suitcases which was great. The bathroom was smaller but had a terrific shower. Only disappointment was the Wifi which was iffy. But we were able to get on... More

We stayed at Ashfield B&B - probably like most of the other tourists - to tour the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. As mentioned before in other reviews Mary - the host - recommends the Ring of Beara. It is less crowded since the roads are too narrow for tour busses. The B&B is conveniently located and... More

We stayed here two nights in May as part of a three week trip and found Ashfield to be one of our best places to stay. The rooms are very nice, comfortable beds, pretty bathrooms and a welcoming setting. Mary's advice on what routes to take, including recommendations on the Ring of Beara, were excellent. She was most welcoming and... More

We'd booked elsewhere but were sent here when the other b & b was unexpectedly closed while we were in Kenmare. Ashfield turn out to be just right for us. Paul and Mary were wonderful hosts. He fixed delicious breakfasts and Pippa, the dog, "gave us the paw" This b & b is just off the main road thus very... More

Our rooms were very clean, beds were so comfortable - slept great! Bright spacious washroom with power showers. Mary our host was the best.!!... More
