We stayed one night at this B& B on August 15 of 2011 and we arrived in Kenmare just as their annual festival was winding down. The town was very busy and it was nice to arrive at this quiet, peaceful cottage. It was everything I imagined an Irish cottage to look like, Davey did an amazing job building it.... More

We regret we only had one night at this Inn but it was a treat! The Inn is darling and we found it to be very comfortable. The rooms are clean, unique and rustic. We slept very well and had a great breakfast in the morning. The Innkeepers are quite friendly and we loved their dog Mason! The locale is... More

The sweetest B&B of our journey, with very friendly people and a nice warm house. We sleeped very well. There are everywhere nice details in the house. The breakfast was very good. And we feel very comfortable. Thank you for sleeping. Kind regards Christian and Ines from Magdeburg and for Mason too, ;) More

What a lovely place to stay -- beautiful yard and the home is enchanting. While new, it captures the essence of a thatched cottage. Wonderful hostess - she made great coffee upon our arrival - and a very friendly dog, Mason that meets you at the door. Breakfast was great -- we would have liked to stay here longer! Carol... More

We were two brothers away for a couple of nights for the Irish Open Golf. Carmel was very helpful when we arrived at Lissyclearig Thatched Cottage at 6.30pm for one night. Tea, coffee, biscuits made available at this quaint B&B but we were busy playing with Mason, the family dog, before dinner in Kenmare. Room was quite nice with ensuite.... More

This B&B couldn't be lovelier. Thatched cottage that the owner built himself, with charming decor and amazing garden. Comfortable and clean room and delicious cooked to order breakfast. Patient old sheepdog greets guests. More

Stayed at Lissyclearig 2 nights during our recent trip to Ireland. We absolutely adored this cottage. Carmel the hostess was charming and friendly not to mention extremely helpful with planning some outings. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Mason the sheepdog is a charmer too. Carmel suggested we take in the town market in nearby Kenmare and it turned out to... More

My wife and I are not hard to please, but we were very disappointed with this B&B. It was actually the worst place we stayed in Ireland in 3 weeks. The exterior is lovely and the location is very good, but that's about all that was good for us. Our bed was so lumpy that we had to sleep on... More

We are a young family with 2 children ages 10 and 14. We travelled thru Ireland for 12 nights. Traveling from Kinsale, we drove to Killarny then to Kenmare in 1 day. Stayed 1 night at Lissyclearig. This is a great B and B and a great Value for families. The scenic drive from Killarney to Kenmare is one of... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Lissyclearig Thatched cottage on our recent family vacation. The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable. Carmel provides a delicious Irish Breakfast. She was very helpful in giving day-trip sightseeing tips and has a plethora of brochures and maps available for her guests. Mason, the sheepdog is sweet and a very good sport when... More
