We stayed here with friends during our trip thru Ireland. Anne is a wonderful hostess. Rooms are comfortable with great views of the fields and Shannon River area. It's great to wake up to livestock right next door. Breakfast was superb. Make sure you have a wee bit of whiskey in your porridge! We spent time one evening in the... More

As a couple plus a friend we thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay at "Cedar Lodge". Anne Maybury the owner made us feel most comfortable and ensured that our stay was hassle free. "Cedar Lodge" is extremely well equipped, with all the comforts of "home". Although a little out of town, it is ideally located in a quiet area with... More

We were on a two week hiking trip in Southern Ireland, with a group. The trails were at times a challenge. On our second week we stayed at Tara Farms B&B. A very delightful place to stay. While i was there,my brother died when climbing Mt Kilimanjaro, made the top. but passed away on the way down. With the very... More

I am reviewing Cedar Lodge which is a large four bedroom house located near the southern shore of Kenmare bay and owned by Anne Maybury. The house is situated in its own garden with private drive, gate access and plenty of parking. All rooms are very large and include a well-equipped utility room, kitchen, sitting room, dining area, conservatory and... More

My daughter, son-in-law, husband and I took a ten-day self-guided tour of Ireland. We stayed at a different bed and breakfast each night. We agreed unanimously that Tara Farm was WONDERFUL! The rooms were spacious and had gorgeous views. The hostess, Anne, sat down with us and gave us valuable tips for our stay in Kenmare. The next morning she... More

The B&B is located next to Kenmare (5 min) in a nice garden with a breathtaking view to the coastline of the Beara peninsula. We had a good room with extra sofa and a small bathroom. The very kind lady of the house welcome us with tea and coffee and for reason of the very cold and bad weather (12... More

We loved this beautiful B&B in Kenmare. We enjoyed the half mile walk into town for dinner, passing lush fields with grazing sheep and quaint bridges. Ask for the "honeymoon room" which has a beautiful view of the river and sunset. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were welcoming. Kenmare is the perfect place to begin touring the Ring... We turned up without a reservation on the chance that they may have a room for three nights. They didn't but the hostess offered to have us stay in the self catering cottage on the premises for the same cost. And we were welcome to still have breakfast in the main house. It was a great price and the cottage... More

This was my first international trip and my friend and I loved all of the guesthouses and B&Bs that we visited, but Tara Farm was most definitely our favorite! Anne was so gracious and she helped us to orient to the area and to the beauty of the Ring of Beara. Our room was a lovely chalet-like room overlooking Kenmare... More
