We stayed here one night on our trip through Ireland. This is a warm and friendly old mansion. The room was quite comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding. The host were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. It's also great that it is just a few blocks from downtown.. More

We spent two nights here and could not have been more delighted. We were welcomed by Maura, an ex-chef, who is so charming and energetic. Her husband Tom is great and handles the breakfast which is absolutely wonderful while also providing history lessons on the area or for that matter, anywhere in the world!!! They have a daughter who is... More

My husband I stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon. We couldn't have asked for better hosts or a better place to stay. This place is very clean and the breakfast was amazing. The hosts, Tom and Maura, make you feel right at home and also provide excellent recommendations for where to eat in Kenmare! Can't wait to... More

The Shelburne Lodge is an excellent small hotel (more than a B&B) in a lovely old house with beautiful gardens. Walking distance into Kenmare, but very quiet (set off from the road). Our room was very nice and airy, with antique furniture and fresh flowers, beds very comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic: served in a charming dining room, you... More

We had a memorable three day stay at Shelburne Lodge. Everything was perfect, or nearly so, starting with the warm welcome from the inkeeper and her family. Throughout our stay, she, her husband and her daughter continued to be of the utmost friendliness and helpfulness in making us feel welcome and in giving advice on things to do and see... More

The rooms are all unique and beautifully appointed. The dining room, where an unbelievable two course breakfast is served, lovely and the living room where we had an event one night and were warmed by the fire so comfortable. The grounds are beautiful too. You can walk into lovely Kenmare for dinner, shopping and sites. It gives you easy access... More
