Stayed 3 nites & were very pleased. Upon arrival the owner energetic Ann Powers informed us of the layout of her home & tea, coffee & pound cake were offered in the guest sitting room. We had the ground floor room which was very pleasant. The home is 8 yrs old, built & designed by Ann's husband Ken, & is... More

First thing you notice is the beauty of this modern home. The details (floors, doors, etc.) and decor are wonderful! Ann and Ken are extremely friendly, warm people who make you feel at home. The breakfast was delicious -- loved the homemade marmalade. Would DEFINITELY recommend this place and would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much! More

All six of us French/Irish/American mixed family stayed at the Brambles for three nights; we had three superb double rooms with en suite showers very clean and beautiful. The location is just outside Kenmare but after a meal in town in the evening it was nice to walk back to the Brambles. In the morning we had a choice of... More

We stayed one night in a beautiful modern room. We weren't within walking distance of Kenmare so we drove into town for a walk and dinner. It was very nice and Ann was very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic in a beautiful room! More

When we arrived, we felt immediately at home. Modern, large and clean bedroom/bathroom. A long list of breakfast choices. Fair price. The lady of the house dealing with all your concerns and problems. Travel tip : the ring of Beara. Spectacular landscape - narrow roads - beautiful beaches... More

After a long day driving the Ring of Kerry, we arrived at The Brambles, very tired and somewhat bummed by the sudden onset of pouring rain. Ann met us at the door and our spirits were immediately lifted by the dazzling warmth of her personality. While we ate a scrumptious breakfast in the beautiful surroundings of Ken and Ann's very... Brambles B&B is just a short distance from town centre. The rooms are huge and very modern designed and highly comfortable. The bathroom is really spacious. Everything is absolutly thought through and organised. There is free Wi-Fi and a amazing choice of breakfast which is served in the wintergarden of the couple. We arrived quiet late and were still treated... More

This was an interesting one. Of all the places we stayed in Ireland (six different B&B's) The Brambles was the one we were looking forward to the most. Upon arriving, we felt as though we were mislead by other reviews of The Brambles stating it was a short "10 minute" walk to town. Definitely NOT the case. I clocked it... More
