Arrived early morning after an early flight in between xmas and new year 2011, Ernestine sat us down and made our breakfast which we did'nt expect on our first day. A wonderful place to stay. The room was perfect with a great view, its probably the best Guest House we have stayed in. Thank you Ernestine and Tom for making... More

I spent two nights at Strand House between Christmas and New Years 2011. Ernestine and Tom looked after me wonderfully, and I could not have asked for anything more. There's not much more I can add to what everyone else has already said. The room was extremely comfortable (and very tastefully decorated, as was the whole house), with everything you... More

I stayed at The Strand with my husband in September 2010...we loved it! This past September I traveled with my 90 year old father...again, we loved it!Ernestine and Tom have the uncanny ability to make us feel like well-loved family! It was my father's favorite place of our one week tour of North and West Ireland. Also...the glowing description of... More

Congratulations to Ernestine and Tom - you have done a fantastic job resulting in a "top shelf" B and B. Your outstanding personal service, tasteful accommodation and delicious Irish breakfast could not be faulted. Highly recommended to any travellers passing through the area. More

This is a gem of a B & B. Ernestine and Tom are warm, caring and thoughtful. This is home from home. Home made scones and jam are provided on arrival, which were most welcome. Breakfast was sumptious..home made bread/locally sourced produce/heathy options...a real treat. More

From the moment we arrived, Ernestine and Tom made us feel so incredibly welcome. To come from a long journey on the road into the lovely warm house and to be greeted with homemade scones and tea was just lovely - so different from the usual guest house experience! The next day, we sat down (at a time of our... More

Whenever I head up to beautiful Northern Ireland, this is the only place I want to stay. It's perfectly located across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, the Strand Beach and there is a great golf course nearby. The promenade is close by as well and you can take a nice walk along the... More

We had a whistle stop tour of Northern Ireland and stayed at Strand House for one night. I wish it could have been more. To be welcomed with tea and scones after a long drive was incrediable and the breakfast the following day was probably the best I have ever had. The room was lovely and clean and very spacious... I can't speak highly enough about the Strand House. The room was beautiful. The jetted tub was heaven and the lovely tray of coffee and scones was the perfect welcoming to this wind-blown traveller. We arrived in the middle of a hurricane -- literally -- in mid-September and Ernestine couldn't have made us feel more welcome. And I can't say... More
