What's the first thing you do when you get to your hotel bedroom? We couldn't have a much needed cup of tea because both cups were stained. Both were however promptly replaced. Staff expressed surprise at our query about the noise from the function room air conditioning equipment outside the bedroom window. It was turned off as promised at 10.00pm... More

Ten months since last visit, so asked for same room as we had before, which had a most comfortable bed. Same room, DIFFERENT bed. Previous bed, we just melted into the bed, most comfortable we had slept in away from home. This time....wow.....if my knees would have allowed me, I would have tried the floor to see if that was... I stayed here in April 2013. We stayed in a twin room. The room was adequate, clean, comfortable with a very nice ensuite bathroom. Large bathroom by most standards. The bedroom was old in style, but we were paying a low rate, therefore, I would never expect high standards. The corridors are old fashioned with the paintwork obviously repainted many... More

From the outside it looks quite impressive but the rooms are rather tired and dated. Rooms clean but just no WOW factor. £50 per night for B&B so cant grumble I suppose. Good breakfast and the hotel IS conveniently located for the town centre. OK for a one night or maybe a weekend stay but wouldn't stay here longer.

I stayed here as part of a coach holiday for a few days and had a very happy relaxing time. The staff were most obliging in all areas and the food choices on our menu were good with chef able to provide other options when necessary. Being a wet and cold April it was pleasant to find bedrooms and public... More

We had an executive room on B&B rate. Room on first floor and spacious but even with radiators turned down we had to have the window open as it was very warm. Bed comfortable and two chairs and small table good but tv(old crt type)in strange cupboard and wrong position to see from chairs! Iron and ironing board provided and... More

Bit disappointing to have to write this review as when we stayed here last year my review was far better. Firstly in there defense have to say that we had our deal via KGB and we virtually paid peanuts for our 2 night stay B&B and 3 course meal £99 so I feel a bit sad that I have to... More

Not having visited Carmarthen before I booked into this hotel via Late Rooms and paid £80 B&B for the evening. My first impressions were that it looked old and run down with the exterior facing the main road far from complimentary in was slow and a proceeded to my room 122 passing the threadbare carpets en route. My room was... More

The bedroom was clean, but the furniture was tired and scuffed but a little cold. I had no hot water, and after running the shower for 10 minutes decided to call reception. It seemed no surprise to them that the boiler had gone out again! so I had a cold shower. Breakfast for us was held in a large room,... More

We stayed here with a coach tour. Our room was in the annexe and was shabby and, in our view, in need of refurbishment. There was black mould around the bath and washbasin and the bath hadn't been cleaned properly on our arrival. One bed cover had blood stains and the other a cigarette burn. The double glazed window suffered... More
