Go for Dinner, bed and breakfast package which was excellent value at £120 for a couple. They let you choose anything from the a l carte menu and our meals were delicious. We will be staying here again. Lots of lovely villages to walk to along the canal and stunning hill walks from the door.

We go to the olive branch every few months for special occasions; the staff are always pleasant and attentive, and the food is always superb. The place is very expensive though, so bear that in mind. Recommend the risotto!

Located outside Huddersfield, on the edge of Marsden and close to the Stanedge Tunnel. We were very pleasantly surprised. The accommodation is furnished in contemporary style and is very comfortable, although rooms at the front can be noisy during the day if windows are open. The highlight is the kitchen .... very talented, indeed. Highly recommended.

Warm and cosy with excellent food, good service and friendly efficient staff. The early doors menu on Monday to Thursday...three courses with a half bottle of decent wine for £20 per person is a bargain. Dined there for 14 consecutive nights and would do it again
