Stayed here again with the new proprietors Greg & Ahrlene also caber the dog. Great homly atmosphere with nothing to much trouble. Great food, home made and very tasty. Rooms very clean with tea facilities. Would recommend it to anyone. If you like fishing or hill walking or just relaxing this is the best place to go.
My sister and I stayed in Dromagowlane House for two nights as part of our walking holiday. It was fantastic from start to finish. The hosts, Arhlene and Greg were welcoming, shared lots of information about the area and were incredibly helpful. The house is lovely and our room was very spacious, pristine and nicely decorated. The B and B is in a rural location but it is only 4/ 5 min walk from a pub (The Wild Atlantic Bar) which offers great food. One night we ate in and all the veg were home grown. The dinner was delicious, as are the breakfasts. We took a packed lunch for our walk too.. Arhlene and Greg bought the place fairly recently and clearly making their own. They are all set up for fishing trips, I hope to be back soon to try one out. Highly recommended. It is not your regular B and B.…
we have been going here for the last 12 years and what can i say we love the place and anne and paul are the best hosts you could ever wish for we go for the fishing wich is amazing and paul is a ton off information on the local shots
This was a first visit to specifically fish around the stunning Breara Peninsula and we were well impressed with all aspects of the accommodation and surrounding areas. The mountainside and sea landscape are truly remarkable. An absolute bonus was the advice given by the host regarding specifically where we should best fish from, and we were given an actually tour around the areas by Paul. We can't thank Paul & Anne enough for their genuine concern and efforts to make this a great stay, and intend to now make this an annual event.
Adrigole is our family ancestral home. We stayed with Anne & Paul in Sept 2019. Both were very personable, hospitable, and helpful. Anne's Irish breakfasts were plentiful. We had two rooms, both very roomy, clean, and accommodating with all the little extras that we needed, including bottled water, tea, cookies, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. We really appreciated the local Adrigole and Beara books that were available for us to borrow & read during our two-day stay. We found our family members in one of them! Many thanks Anne & Paul; we will be back!
Following our hill walk from Glengarriff, it was such a relief to be received so graciously by Anne and Paul, our hosts at this remarkable bed and breakfast. When we arrived we were covered head to toe in mud and were soaking wet to the core. Straight away Paul pulled out a hose so we could wash off our boots and clothes before entering the house. He then gave us plenty of old newsprint to stuff into our boots to draw out the moisture. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It had a separate ante room for our outer gear. Because there were no restaurants nearby and we were walking, Anne prepared a delicious traditional Irish feast for us, complete with amazing apple pie and the most delicious vanilla ice cream. I should note that if you would like to have dinner here, you need to arrange that with Anne a day before your arrival. The following morning we enjoyed a massive Irish breakfast cooked to order.…
Nice room in a traditional Irish home. Room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was amazing. The omelets were huge and deliscious. She provided us with great info on the local area. We spent a day driving the ring of Beara and really enjoyed this area of Ireland. So beautiful
I stayed with Anne and Paul in May 2018 while working in the area and knowing that Paul was a local angling guide. I received a warm welcome, lovely steak dinner, and while I hadn't time for fishing a run down on local angling spots and species. Pauls advice was invaluable for an kayak angling event held locally in June.
Very welcoming and friendly, room spotless and all needs catered for, food superb and plentiful, evening meal outstanding, I have an interest in fishing and nothing was too much trouble, showing me how and where to fish and providing what I didn’t have!
I first stayed here in 2005 when mine hosts Anne and Paul were just starting out. They were such a fabulous couple and their rooms were delightful. I had to stay with them again and wanted to show my friend what Irish hospitality was all about, so I booked with Anne hoping she would remember me and was delighted that she did. Anne is the most fabulous cook and meal times are not for the faint hearted! Her portions are enormous but so very delicious! Paul is a delightful man who would literally go out of his way to make your stay so enjoyable and it's the perfect place to explore this wonderful part of Ireland "the ring of Beara"
