Good rooms in a traditional lakeland inn with lovely views. Food was good,plentiful and reasonably priced. The inn itself has plenty of character including low beams and open fires and is a very popular place to eat and drink, resulting in a great atmosphere. Staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. All in all an excellent alternative to staying in 'town'.

The Swinside Inn is set among the magnificent Cumbrian mountians. The views from our 'Catbells' room were stunning. We have just spent a 2 night stay, 6 of us with 4 dogs. Breathtaking position in the Newlands Valley. Walks in the area are lovely and the easily accessible. The food was good and the portions pretty large, very reasonable prices. We hope to be back soon.

just spent a long weekend here,warm comfortable rooms,food excellent,plenty of walks in the area,didnt need car.Staff and locals very friendly and our dogs were made welcome.The views of the valley were breathtaking,a steady couple of miles stroll into Keswick make it a good starting point for numerous walks,we will be coming back

After long walks on the fells in the cold wind and rain, this was a lovely warm welcoming pub with a beautiful selection of ales and open fire. Very clean and tidy and dog friendly too, very nice indeed.
