L'Ancolie is cosy and warm - very warm - and its timbered interior makes it snug on a naughty night! Stayed here with by brother as part of a self-guided bike vacation in the French Alps in mid-September. Technically not part of Alp D'Huez but down the mountain only 4km, it is part of the small little town that was basically dead when we arrived. The room are clean and decorated with taste, and the price is uncommonly for the skistation. The owners are also very kind.

Just returned from a 5 night stay. As mentioned in other reviws the hotel is in the small quaint village of Huez about 5km down the winding hill from Alpe d'Huez..
