Travelled here during our trip to Villers-Brettoneux for Anzac Day. Had been recommended this B&B by Western Front Tours and what a unexpected gem of a place this was. The rooms were fantastic with so much charm & style , the breakfast room was outstanding and the breakfast fabulous. The choice of teas and marmalades never ending Rodney & Phillipe... More

I travelled to France with my 18yo son to pay our respects to our WW1 soldiers. We were recommended to stay at La Corne d'Or. Rodney and Phillipe are wonderful hosts, the rooms are excellent, the building is rustic and charming. It is a short walk to Grand Place. Do not look further than this hotel.

First impressions were not promising – the outside of the building did not look very inviting and when we rang the bell we did not get any response at first (you need to press it hard). But once we got inside things started to look up. Indeed we also had to climb up as we had booked the loft which... More

We have just spent 2 nights at this magnificent B & B and could not fault the service or accommodation which is very elegant. Rodney and Philippe are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They are always willing to assist in any way possible to ensure that your stay with them is memorable. They have 5 rooms... I booked the hotel before the change in ownership and was somewhat concerned about what service the new owners would provide. The last owner had a great reputation for service and food. My fears were quickly eliminated when Rodney and Philippe greeted us. I could tell instantly that they were great hosts. Rodney spent many years in the diplomatic service... More

We stayed in this charming maison d'hotes on 22/23 March 2013 and fell in love with it. Rodney and Philippe made us more than welcome, on a day when they had planned to close. We were on our way home, but wished we could have stayed for longer. The help-yourself tea (huge choice of loose tea) is delightful and the... More

Stayed a couple of times recently when on business after tiring of the plastic chain hotels of Arras. Fabulous c18 house with charming rooms - slept well and loved the breakfast in the dining room - croissants still hot from the bakery in the Grand Place! Rodney and Philippe are charming and welcoming and can't do enough to help -... More

A very enjoyable stay in the heart of Arras !! Warm welcome and interesting chat with the new owners and the other guests, amazing extensive visit of the house including the incredible underground network. Rodney and Phillip are fantastic people. The room we chose was at the top floor under the roof in the old attics which was very quiet... More

Le Corne d'Ore was taken over by new owners in December who have immediately imposed their own style of wonderfully welcoming and generous hospitality. The rooms are large, warm, comfortable and stylish and the breakfast as good as you'll find anywhere; the collection of Mariage freres teas almost daunting, though not for tea lovers of course. Easy parking across the... More

Stayed at La Corne D'Or previously and were very impressed and were slightly anxious when Franck advised us he had 'moved on' - needn't have worried Rodney and Phillipe are just as hospitable and the standards are just as high. Nice homely touches with the 24 hour access to good quality tea, coffee and soft drinks. The rooms are clean... More
