My second stay here - first was the previous summer where I enjoyed a marvellous early morning walk along the nearby sandy beach and dunes at the back of the impressive looking golf course. Wasn't sure whether that lifting experience had biased the view of my stay but yesterdays visit (on a very bleak and blowy winter's night) only served... More

Wanting to experience Scotland in the fall/winter my wife and I revisited the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel. Another EXCELLENT visit. It has been a year since our last stay with Martin and Lucy. They continue to operate a great Hotel. Whether it is throwing darts with the locals or just sipping Scotch with Martin, from his great collection, and some of... More

Eight of us stayed at the Kilmarnock Arms in the summer for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the welcome from the young, hard-working owners, the refurbished rooms, the excellent dinners and breakfasts and the friendly staff. If you like the combination of pubby atmosphere with excellent hotel facilities this is for you. More

A excellent hotel, warm friendly atmosphere, very nice quality rooms and the cleanest hotel I have stayed in for a long time. The staff are first class and the food is well worth a visit even though you do not stay there. I just wish all hotels could live up to the standards of this one. More

We stayed in this wonderful Inn near the end of August. I love the architecture, many stairs leading to various hallways and rooms. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff are extremely helpful, courteous and attentive. Absolutely loved it there. Would definitely return. More

Eight of my golfing friends and I stayed at the Kilmarnock in August 2008 and 2011. Happy to report that nothing has changed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large like in Canada. Everything is modern and well maintained. We had breakfast in their dining room and the food was better than average. The bar has... More

Thank you so much to the Taylors and all of the staff at Kilmarnock Arms Hotel for an amazing weekend. From our arrival in from a wet and windy afternoon into the beautiful open fire and relaxed atmosphere of the reception right through to sipping Cullen Skink before we left the whole experience of the Kilmarnock Arms was amazing. The... More

We stopped in this hotel on our way to Aberdeen. It has an oldish look and the room and bathroom were very small although clean and recently renovated. All downs however are overruled by a very kind, helpful and friendly staff, who did their best to make our short stay a very comfortable one. The restaurant has some elegant touches... More
