We were concerned by the criticism recently written about the Villa Pina but we would recommend this for an unforgettable holiday. We were positioned on a second floor balcony with a view to die for overlooking Capri. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent and we were talking to a couple who visited Villa Pina in May this... More

We arrived late on a Friday evening when the restaurant was clearing ready for breakfast. The table d'houte menu was offered and we decide on only the main course with a glass of wine each. We enjoyed both our welcome and the meal. The next night our menu, whilst not extensive, unfortunately only included the fish again which we felt... More

Arriving at the Villa Pina we were greeted by the non-friendly and abrupt owner Francesco, he advised us to take the very small lift with all our luggage/belongings to the second floor where we had to struggle with our baggage up two flights of stairs to the attic room which would be ours for the next 10 nights. We were... More

A basic hotel with a fab restaurant.I went as part of a package deal-the room was clean but basic at the back -no view but quiet.Shower bit small-with a curtain and a very small shower tray. Sometimes it overflowed, after a couple of days worked out technique of not having water on too full and how to make shower curtain stick... More

When we arrived we were not given our sea view room as paid for, and when asked we were moved and given a double instead of twin. They were in no hurry to divide the beds but we insisted it was done the day we arrived and not the next as they suggested. When they were divided each bed was... More

Having read the reviews, I was ready for a hotel that was basic but with a hope of good food. I was very pleasantly suprised. The room was clean, especially the bathroom which was spotless with fresh clean white towels every day. The air conditioning kept the heat at bay, and the little fridge provided just enough room to keep... More

We read mixed reviews prior to our stay at this hotel. Some of the reviews were a little concerned regarding various issues. One of our worries was connected to the hotel being able to accommodate our vegetarian diet. We arrived quite late (after 10 pm) and were worried that we were too late for a meal (we hadn't eaten since... More

The hotel itself, whilst in need perhaps of the odd lick of paint, is a small friendly place with a high level of cleanliness and extremely friendly staff. Whether it is Francesco, the owner and his family, or the staff he employs, nothing is too much trouble and we found the service to be quite exceptional. The rooms were kept... More

This is my second visit to this hotel and nothing really has changed. The rooms are basic but clean and serviceable. I really don’t understand why anyone gives these hotel negative comments, if I ever go back to Sorrento I will definitely try to get this hotel again. Don’t book this hotel if you want in-house entertainment or a pool... More

First stayed at the Villa Pina in the 1990's and stayed in the rooms above the restaurant - it was wonderful and recommended it to anyone planning to holiday in Italy. The wonderful views are still wonderful but the hotel side seems unloved, grubby and in need of a lot of repair. There seems to be a 'take it or... More
