Hotel San Michele in centro L'Aquila is an oasis amongst buildings silenced by the earthquake of 2009. I consider it my own little find and have stayed there many times. It's quiet, sunny, and staffed with caring young people.

I have been here for work. Staff were very courteous and welcoming. The hotel is renovated and very comfortably placed within reach of most beautiful sites in the centre of L'Aquila. Very clean, good breakfast, helpful staff. Good quality/price ratio.

This hotel is in an excellent position in the city centre, very convenient for walking around the historical buildings most of which were sadly damaged in the tragic earthquake in 2009. We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The rooms although a little small were very clean and well maintained. The pleasant friendly staff were a absolute pleasure and made our stay all the better. I stayed here in 2006 and have to say that I very much enjoyed it. Wonderfully located near the Piazza Duomo, the centre of this wonderful city, I found the place clean, well run, the food good and the staff very friendly and helpful whilst retaining their professionalism.
