Lovely for a quite break. No tv or bar but its a short walk to matlock if you fancy a pint or a curry or fish and chips to die for. Ideal place for walking. Bring a flash light for walk back through the castle grounds.

We booked in to this hotel which had very good reviews on trip advisor as we wanted to treat our family to a night away. Not at all what we expected, the food was poor and we decided to return home instead of staying another night.

What a wonderful place to stay. Steeped in the hills and dales yet vey close to shops of Cromford and Matlock. The views are amazing and the building itself is old but comfortable. Very clean, nice food, good sized room, comfy bed, lovely staff, nice pool, really really enjoyed my stay. Plus excellent value for money would definitely return.

As ardent athiest we left with faith in Britsh customer service evangelically restored and if walls could speak what an amazing tale this majestic, eccentric old place would tell. We visited Willersley as part of a church group. This was our fourth time here. Our group was much smaller than the last time and so there was much less pressure on the staff, particularly at mealtimes, so service was better. This is a terrible place to stay. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, there is too much yummy food, it is far too comfortable and too hot. But on a positive note, no TVs in the rooms, peace and quiet, fantastic views, lovely surroundings. The wifi is limited in range, so you probably need to sit in the hallway... More
