Stayed for one night and was very pleased with the hotel. Room was great with a comfy bed and great shower. Had all required amenities including TV and kettle. Staff were friendly and had a pint at the bar. Breakfast was included in the room price and was great before heading out.

The Douglas is a very comfortable hotel, well located close to the centre of Hartlepool. The rooms are of a very high standard, clean and well equipped. The restaurant provides excellent food, though menu choices are sometimes limited and the evening bar provides a cheerful place to relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful, ensuring a most agreeable stay.

Stopped for a Saturday night and found the hotel excellent. Room was very clean,shower was good and bed was very comfortable. The breakfast saw us through to teatime. Wished we could have stayed and sampled more of the food but the Marina was beckoning.

this is a wonderful place to stay, the food is brilliant and plentiful,the steak and kidney pudding and hand cut chips was gorgeous and highly recommended.. the breakfast are lovely... so much to choose from.. and the service is great. the rooms are spacious and the staff very friendly... what more could you want.. would stay here again... excellent
