I spent 14 nights in Melville Lodge as I was doing an electrical course in Crawley. Brian and Farida are very nice and helpful people. I can definitely recommend this place to everyone. They serve an excellent full english breakfast :)

Farida and brian are friendly and very helpful people who care about their guests. they serve a good breakfast and the place is clean. i've stayed at higher priced guesthouses that were not as good.

Firstly brian and farida were so welcoming, we were actually transferred here from another hotel, and I was relieved when I got here, it was far cleaner, cosier and the owners were far more friendly. Would stay here again for sure.

I think the adjective 'tattered' used by a previous reviewer describes it well. I didn't think it was spotless, in fact I felt like I needed my flip-flops on in the bedroom. Good points: the breakfast was very good and the hosts are nice. This is not a bad place for a quick stopover.

Brian & Farida are friendly and great hosts...really make you feel welcome. It is great for a stop over at the beginning and end of your trip through Gatwick Airport. This is our third trip staying with thm and really enjoy it...recommend to everyone.

Beautiful guest house with the friendliest hosts we have ever met. Could have stayed there the 2 weeks instead of a disappointing holiday in Malta!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually wished we had. Would definately use this place again. Rooms spotless and breakfast second to none. Thank you Brian and Farida.
