This large efficiently run owner managed hotel is located close to Bowness on Windermere and makes a good base for exploring the surrounding area. The public rooms are spacious and the dinner & breakfast were very enjoyable - good choice and high standard of food. Bedroom looking tired and in need of refurbishment but adequate for an overnight stay.

just back from a weekend at the windermere hydro, once again we had a fantastic time. everything about the place is exceptional, the room the service, the food the pool we loved it and a weekend away seems like a week away. we are regular visitors and have not had a bad experience
