We are regular travellers and know the differing qualities of accomodation, no issues here. Greeted by Emma who checked us in and ensured we had everything we needed. Lovely clean comfortable and well set out room, with a lovely view of the lake. Right along the road from a pub, due to a private function we could not eat there... More

3 couples, all friends for many years, stayed here for 5nights. We have all travelled extensively & are well equipped to pass judgement on accommodation. We all found this to be a top class B & B. The rooms were a good size, well appointed, with great views in a quiet farmland setting & the breakfasts were superb. Emma &... More

Emma and Peter are really lovely hosts, they make you feel relaxed and at home. Peter recommended The Drunken Duck for a special evening meal, and it was superb. Our bedroom was clean, comfy with excellant views. On arrival they had kindly left a key for us, so that there was no pressure for us to arrive a particular time. The breakfast... More

No welcome just a key and note left in small hall. Our room was much to small for the four poster bed, trying to find the loo in the night was a nightmare. We are not sure who served breakfast ( in the smallest of dining rooms) as he did not introduced himself, the breakfast was fine. Although the view... More

As others said, because I booked on e-bay, I expected an average B&B . However, we were absolutely delighted with everything. We have stayed in countless B&Bs over the years in the Lakes (one in particular which shall remain nameless and in the same area) and this has to be up there with the best. I liked the idea of... Had a lovely stay with our dog. Breakfast was good, very impressed at the cleanliness and overall quality. Would stay again, not too long a walk to our favourite pub - Tower Bank Arms. More

We recently spent 2 nights and arrived super early . Emma very kindly booked us in as our room was ready and we would have been happy to just leave the car. It is on the quiet side of the lake and thank goodness for that. Breakfast was superbly cooked by Emma and served by Peter. Would stay again thank... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights recently after a recommendation from a work friend. We were not disappointed! Hawrigg is a lovely B&B with a beautiful view of the lake. As its on the opposite side to Bowness its really quiet and peaceful - just what we need before the arrival of our baby in November! The... More
