Looks great from the outside that about the best thing you say about this place. I feel sorry for people who work having to put up with people complaining about rooms , food , tv not working , no hot water , bar being so dirty it was just like faulty towers. It need lots money spent on it .... More

Arrived after booking online. Hotel undergoing major external renovation so the outside scaffolded but that's fine. Inside is dated, tired but seemed clean. Booked a single but changed it as I could touch both walls simultaneously - a bit too cosy. Second room was nice enough with a large comfy bed. The water was lukewarm, the ironing board broken and... Lovely location, but Huntly Arms a disappointment. in need of a major refurbishment, but room OK, comfortable enough. For us, it was the food that ruined our stay. For around £9 for burger and chips (no salad or veg), you don't expect freezer food. Very tasteless, rather bland and gristly. Hubby had beef steak pie, but the pastry was WHITE.... More

Stayed in the Huntly Arms for 3 nights , When you first drive up to the hotel it looks very impressive, Going through the main doors you can very quickly see that a make over is required. The staff are all very friendly. I ate an evening meal on a couple of occasions, First night was just a quick cheese... More

Arrived after booking online, left about 15 minutes later. Bar was filthy, room was a joke: wallpaper falling off, tiny old tv, no hot water, place stank of dampness, windows were rotting, I had booked a room with a view and got a view of a dirty old stairwell. Asked for a refund and was told that it would be... More

I stayed at this hotel to keep costs down on a visit to Aberdeen. The B&B rate was good but you get what you pay for in life. First impressions of the place on arrival shout "tired decor in need of attention" and that thought was echoed for the during of my stay. The room i stayed in overlooked the... More

We had decided to have a night away from the hustle and bustle of city life and go somewhere serine, the area was certainly serine but the hotel was far from it. On arrival we noticed that it needed a fair amount spent to give the entire outside a facelift (car park, windows etc). The entrance looked ok but in... More

We stayed for one night at the Huntly Arms Hotel, which was ok for the money we paid. It is charming looking from the outside, but really tired looking on the inside. It's well overdue a facelift, and could do with a fair bit of money spent to bring it up to the 21st century. The bed was on the... More

Stayed two nights on business trip to Aberdeen. I think visitors to this establishment should bear in mind it is supposed to be three star as opposed to four or five star! However having said that the building is old and definitely needs some investment to keep its star rating. The room I had was tired looking with splits in... More
