Popped in for lunch after hearing good reviews since its under new management. Huge food portions and fantastic puddings. We all left full and happy and will definitely be back when there is live music on.

so we read the reviews before we booked. and went as it looked picturesque.Because of the weather we needed to go up a day earlier so rang at short notice and managed to book in for the extra night. We arrived and it was as picturesque as we imagined. Set in a quiet village away from the hustle and bustle...

Picture the scene. You're staying in a room over a pub which is accessed through a door in the lobby via a flight of stairs. Downstairs is an open bar area with a kitchen both containing lots of electrical equipment. You go to bed after a couple of drinks and sleep soundly until you are awakened by a fire alarm....

After going back downstairs to tell them about the shower ( will be up in a minute) I went back upstairs to wait. Ten minutes later I had to go back down...

We had a brilliant long weekend stay! Food was gorgeous, our room was tastefully decorated and the staff were very friendly and helpful, The atmoshphere was always always relaxed and pleasant. We couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend and will be returning for sure. :-)

One arrival we were showed to the “recently...

We ate here 1 night whilst staying nearby and I'm surprised at the bad reviews. Its a very friendly local pub and the meals were home cooked and very good value at £5 each. The staff were very efficient and we couldn't fault anything.
This is a little gem of a find. £50 for a family room with cooked breakfast at a time to suit. Ask for exactly want you want as the full English is a little sparse otherwise. Please don't moan about noise and music if you've booked a room above a pub. Come on. It's not fair. If you want peace,...
