We stayed a night here while walking the Speyside Way. Fay was fantastic, looking after our every need, even providing blister plasters for my daughters sore feet! The breakfast was wonderful, the room was ideal, clean and comfortable. A great stopover for Speyside Way walkers.

We only stayed for one night, the bedroom we had on arrival was on the third floor, very small and the ensuite was in a cupboard under the eaves. We were very disappointed. When we explained we would not be taking our suitcases out of the car because we could not carry them up 3 floors, we were offered a... More

Not only is this house beautiful to look at, it's located next to a lovely park. Again we chose a B&B with stairs that were killer. Next trip...less luggage! The hostess was a lovely woman, full of mirth and could cook a great breakfast. When in Grantown-on-Spey you MUST go to the Craggan Mill for supper, foodies and non will... More

Me and my pal spent one week in the Parkburn Guest House in June 2011. Clean rooms, great breakfast and two likeable and good-natured persons as hosts. There are no more wishes for a B&B. If I am in the same region of scotland again, I am at the Parkburn again. Best wishes to Fay and Allan, thank you for... More

My fishing pal and I spent 3 nights at Parkburn in April 2010 as we were fishing the Spey at Grantown. The welcome at Parkburn is second to none and Fay and Allan go out of their way to help and went to great lengths to ensure we were happy. Allan offered the loan of multiple items of his own... More

THE ''£20 ROOM'' THAT TURNED INTO A £60 NIGHTMARE A sign on the street outside the Parkburn Guest House (see attached) advertises ''Room only £20''...but beware, when the morning comes it turns into a £60 bill!..yes £20 did seem cheap to us but after a sleepless night on a bed that long since collapsed in the middle, a toilet that... Unfortunately Mr Hynlandman turned out to be Mr Highwayman as the police had to pursue him for payment after leaving Parkburn Guest House without paying for his stay in full!!! This guest was shown the room prior to his stay and after finding it satisfactory he registered for B&B. The sign at the roadside was for room only but Mr... More

I've just spent two days in the Scottish Highlands and am happy to recommend The Parkburn Guest House in Grantown-on-Spey to others. There's a great welcome from landlady Fay Hampton - ably supported by husband Allan - and I enjoyed the friendly, homely atmosphere. I was travelling on my own and paid £36.00 per night for the en suite room... More

Fay is great housekeeper and prepares wonderful breakfasts (lots of options available, including a great haggies). Rooms are comfortable, clean and price is cheap. I like a lot her the sense of humor and there was a nice collaboration between us.

You would be hard-pressed to find two nicer people than Fay and Allan. They treated me like a member of their own family, greeted me with a warm mug of hot-chocolate when I came in from the rain, and cooked a large delicious breakfast in the morning. There was also an impressive range of books to read in my room.
