On arrival reception staff very friendly and helpful, they did all they could for my Mum to help her. Our rooms (we had two singles) were adjacent and spotless clean. Beds comfortable and room warm also they did not skimp on the Coffee supplies. Personally I was vey impressed with the room and the service for what we paid. We... More

Visually this hotel is nothing special outside or in, which meant I was disappointed on first arrival. However, it is one of the most comfortable places I have stayed. Whilst the bed and bath rooms, decoratively speaking, were not worthy of comment, they were clean, contained everything I needed and were extremely comfortable to use/sleep in. The food was fine.... Very quiet at the time of my visit, and the room was clean, comfortable and reasonable value for money. The public rooms are rather old fashioned for my taste, but some people would revel in the " old fashioned charm". Some minor maintenance issues would improve things noticeably. Highlight for me was the excellent service received from all the staff... More

Dear Reviewer, How kind of you to take the time and trouble to record your observations following a brief stay at the Imperial Crown Hotel in Halifax. The hotel is indeed in the old style dating back from before the turn of the century in keeping with the rest of historic Halifax’s central district. Needless to say, your point concerning... More

This hotel is definitely not worth £99 per night but if they offer a deal.. Compared to Premier Inn, which is their biggest competitor in Halifax - beds are comfortable but they don't offer additional pillows ; street facing rooms could do with double glazing - thus preventing me having to hear a chav with his disco car radio at... Dear Reviewer, Thank you for posting your helpful comments on Tripadvisor following your recent visit to the Imperial Crown Hotel. Likewise the completed guest comment card you left behind was similarly beneficial to me. I regret that you were disturbed by a late night reveller and that aspects of the breakfast service were disappointing. Needless to say, your observations on... More

Parking over the road is rather inconvenient, and not guaranteed. Room fine - clean & spacious. Food good, including breakfast (too easy to mess up a fry up). A little old-fashioned, but that adds to its charm. Definitely worth returning.

Stayed here on a business trip and found rooms to be large and comfortable, but with some maintenance issues. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Overall better than a soulless travelodge or Premier Inn.

Dear Reviewer, Your positive review was appreciated, especially your generous comparison against a competitor hotel. Often it is only when guests experience unsatisfactory aspects to their stay that one received feedback. Not so on this occasion…. I am very grateful for your note. I was made aware of the maintenance issue you reported at the time and, of course, that... More

An older hotel with a kind of dated charm. The room are small and the first one we got didn't have a proper window, just the kind you expect in a bathroom. When we complained (which I normally don't do) we got another room without any fuzz. Parking is a ample but you have to walk a couple of yards.

Stayed for 1 night on a business trip. Very convenient location as literally 1 minute walk from the train station & 5 mins walk to office area of Halifax. The room was very small and very worn. The bathroom was worn and although appeared to be clean - the standard of upkeep gives a perception of dirty. Room was noisy....could hear televisions in other room and there was an odour of "old fryer/kitchen vents." Didn't feel particulary at ease in the bed as once again, the general standard of... More

Dear Reviewer, Firstly let me apologise for the inordinate delay in responding to your review. I read with despair of your wide disappointment with the Imperial Crown Hotel when you stayed last year.
