Having read the previous review, I felt compelled to write my own. I too have stayed here many many times on business. I don't have a problem with a polite note on the door giving a contact number to ring, this is pretty common place nowadays. Room 8 is my favourite, I request it when I book. It is tranquil... More

I've stayed here before and had a lovely time... Different management bring different experiences... Shame. Beautiful place in stunning countryside. After a near 4 hour drive I arrived at 8 pm. A piece of paper stuck to the door said press the bell or make a phone call to get assistance. I rang the bell 4 times surprised that even... More

This is a traditional hotel offering fantastic service, good value for money and tastefully maintained in a traditional manner. Ideally located for exploring the surrounding area with the added benefit of having the BEST Indian restaurant The Kings Repose right on its door step

Interesting hotel in a converted farm house with interesting historic decor. The breakfast room has an original large hearth fireplace. There is lots of parking and the hotel is situated on a lane just parallel to New Road, be aware of driving past at night if you are following a sat-nav. The stay was worth it for the breakfast alone!

Ample private parking in an enclosed court yard. Rooms spacious and adequately equipped but if you need extras just ask.. Rufus is a wealth of local knowledge, is on call 24/7 and believe me, nothing is too much trouble! Breakfast is cooked to order and is delicious. I look forward to staying here again.

What a fabulous hotel - outstanding standards of hospitality. A really honest team of staff who really care... outstanding all round! We needed extra special attention on our trip to Wolverhampton - this hotel went right out of their way to help and wouldn't even accept any payment for their extra time and service! Thank you so much......

Arrived on a Tuesday night, greeted by a lovely lady, took me to my room, which was warm & cosy!!! Rooms a little dated but this adds to character, there were cobwebs on the light though! Quaint & full of character is the best way to describe this. In the morning came dwn, lovely views of the garden, great breakfast... More

An amazing little place at an amazing price. This place is a gem. A listed building that keeps character throughout. The old cash till in the breakfast room is great. A nice breakfast provided, although I'd suggest upping the ante a bit. Such a nice place then you get value sausages and value bacon... Only negative was the bath. I... More
