We stayed at this hotel for one night as we attended a birthday party at the restaurant. The hotel room itself was simple. The party was held at the restaurant and the meal was excellent and so was the service. would definitely go back again.

Was checked in for a function. The Croft is very personalized. ! Although was at a one bedder, it was clean. Tony,the owner/manager, and the staff were very friendly each time we passed the front desk. Breakfast was an extra bonus.. We stayed at The Croft for a friend's party and found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The rooms could do with a little TLC but were clean and large. I've stayed here twice in the past month - not of my own volition. Had it been, I most certainly wouldn't have stayed again... The rooms in the hotel are freezing cold - me and my colleagues having stayed in 6 different rooms over both stays; all saying the same thing. The heating goes off at 10pm, then doesn't return... I agree with some of the other posters that the hotel is a little tired, and could do with some redecoration. However, that aside, I found it very clean and comfortable, and the chap on Reception (Claudio) very friendly and helpful. OK, so at £50 for the night (excluding breakfast), I am aware that this is a 'budget' hotel and needs to be reviewed as such. I always think of the chains that cost a similar amount per night, to give me something to compare against. In this instance, I would have prefered the hotel chain room by quite a margin.... More
